One of the ways the Opposition Party is going about doing this is by attacking Trump’s inner circle.

- Hollywood
- Education (colleges, etc)

YES, I am not surprised, only surprised by the extent of the opposition within the bureaucracy.
The US Government and the security-state, captured by activist, statist, leftist-progressives, has grown fat and huge, fed by nearly 5 decades of massive debt and our printed, fiat currency. The massive state’s interests have dovetailed for now with the interests of banks and big business, media, and even entertainment.
Moreover, Washington DC is highly ideological. They vote 90% Democrat-left, and live off the work of fly-over Americans and huge government debt. Trump has been dropped into the middle of this. its not a swamp, its an ocean.
I personally doubt Trump will be able to conquer this “state within a state.” I even imagine they will have him assassinated, if they can’t disgrace and banish him politically.
We all knew from the beginning that the swamp needed to be drained.

Yes, it means to destroy him personally from the dems. The GOPe wants the same, but only to fully control and coopt him, but they would let him remain in office, at least in a nominal sense.
