The Trump administration has offered the job of White House national security adviser, vacated by former U.S. intelligence official Michael Flynn, to Vice Admiral Robert Harward, said two U.S. officials familiar with the matter on Wednesday.
It was not immediately clear if Harward, a former deputy commander of U.S. Central Command who has Navy SEAL combat experience, had accepted the offer, according to sources.
A White House spokesperson had no immediate comment.

He quite literally is the opposite of Flynn on every single policy.
This article describes him as the anti-Flynn.
Evan McMullen was excited about him. Lying James Clapper said he was heartened by his selection. This is a GOPe neocon victory.

Does it say anything to you that he is known to be the polar opposite of Flynn’s policy advice? This wasn’t just another guy to execute the same direction Trump ran on, it’s a spin of the steering wheel to 180 degrees.
He has blown it twice now. He should have flipped the finger to the press and kept Flynn. And now he’s replaced him with someone very in line with the Evan McMullen, James Clapper mentality.
I bet before the day ends we’ll hear McCain tell us that this was a very good choice. Then we’ll know.

I agree with the latter, but we don't know all the details. Certainly the deep state is working to neuter Trump and his entire administration, or worse, so I share your concerns.
Then that bit of intelligence may serve Trump well. You have to ask yourself how did Trump do as well as he did in NYC, having to contend with the bureaucracy, the labor unions, and the mob. He's evidently a master of intrigue.
I share the concern of this pick, but I'm by no means giving up on Trump's ability to pull this off. Many have fallen by the wayside underestimating Trump.
I sure hope its keep friends close and enemies closer. But this guys isn’t at all in line with Trumps stated policy objectives.
