A parable is a likeness, an allegory. A trump is a victory not based on a greater number of troops, but on outwitting an opponent - utilizing resources and accessing channels that the enemy cannot (cf. David vs. Goliath).

And why, pray tell, were the “long knives” out to get Mike Flynn from the outset? Flynn wasn’t the first (Robin Townley, a Senior Director on the NSC staff and close to Flynn, was the first) and he won’t be the last.
