President Trump responded publicly to the news of the forced resignation of his national security advisor, Michael Flynn, asserting on Tuesday that the “real story” is the number of “illegal leaks” from U.S. government officials.
Trump made the claim in an early-morning tweet.

Time to go through departments and fire everyone. Fire everybody in the FBI and start by hiring Vets who are unemployed. Let director hire back the right way. Then move to homeland security, department of education, department of energy etc etc. We have 300 million people in this country.... replacing bureaucrats is easy.

I’m not in favor of political persecution. What I am in favor of is firing/jailing anyone and everyone guilty of corruption, regardless of party affiliation.
If it were up to me, I’d start at the top (0vomit, Clintons, Podesta, Jarrett, Pelosi, Reid, Boehner, .... McConnell?, Roberts?, Ryan?, ) and with the biggest crimes (treason, sedition, pay for play, insider information) and work my way down.
I suppose sometimes you have to work your way up via plea deals and immunity deals, but in general, I most to see the big fish in prison.
In Spicer’s daily presser he said the President lost trust with Flynn for giving incomplete or erroneous information about the phone call to Russia. And that Flynn didn’t do anything wrong or illegal beside give bad info to Pence who then went out with it to the press.
Spicer also said that Trump did ask Flynn for his resignation.

Nonsense! Both of these people made real mistakes having to do with honesty.
Accepting their resignations under such circumstances is not political correctness; it's just correctness.
The President must "keep his nose clean", and this is a legitimate way for him to do so...
Absolutely! Great post! Trump should keep a "bumper sticker" behind his desk--sorta like Harry Truman's "The Buck Stops Here"--that establishment politicians are all talk and no action, and that ONE action is worth a thousand words.
Maybe what Flynn did was bad enough that he legitimately should have resigned. That’s up to Trump and his administration. They evidently thought so. But just because he resigned doesn’t mean that what the CIA, NSA and their media allies are doing isn’t incredibly dangerous and subversive. It is a swamp. It is an unelected bureaucracy that is trying to undermine an elected government. That is pretty bad.
Interesting that two big pre-election anti-Trumpers are the loudest about Flynn not being let go—Levin and Limbaugh. Must be the establishment Republican stance.

That’s right. It’s their judgment that he should go. But there should be a price. They take one of ours we need to take one of theirs, maybe two. They bring a knife we gotta bring a gun.
The whole General Flynn episode is starting to feel to me like the Valerie Plame affair during the G W Bush administration. Hyperventilating by the uniparty and their brown nosed media cohorts using advance inside information. almost like a destabilization and regime change operation. They’re desperate to impeach Trump before he can get established.
