"Republicans seized her microphone," writes the New York Times. "And gave her a megaphone."
Who's she? Elizabeth Warren, the overrated Democratic senator from Massachusetts. The other night Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell rebuked her for impugning colleague Jeff Sessions. Exercising a little-known rule, the Senate revoked Warren's floor privileges for 24 hours. Now, says the Times, "Ms. Warren is considered a very early frontrunner for 2020, should she run."
I'm sorry. I just can't. We are three weeks into the presidency of Donald J. Trump, the most unusual and unconventional man to inhabit the White House in a century, possibly ever, and the New York Times is already naming the frontrunner to replace him? The same media and consultant class that assumed Hillary Clinton would win the presidency in 2008 and again in 2016 presumes to declare how a Senate kerfuffle in February 2017 will affect Iowa caucus-goers in 2020? Who are these people? Where did they come from? What makes them so obtuse, so beholden to gossip, so given to wish-casting, so certain that their momentary impressions of trivial matters carry cosmic weight? Was it college that inflated their sense of self-worth? Is that what $50k a year buys youa degree in smug? We may never know

This is a nice take on where we are. The DemocRATS hate this administration so much that they have lost control of themselves.
Man, you’d have to sniff an awful lot of glue, or smoke at least a pound of weed....to write stuff like this NY Times reporter has done. Maybe they should ask themselves....how did Hillary really lose, and correct those mistakes before getting all hyped up over nothing.
It reminds me a lot of obummer’s first four years where conservative writers were putting up articles about how THIS or THAT event was the turning point and obama would lose in 2012.
It was all wishful thinking. Or at least some years premature.
This is ALL wishful thinking. And not even some years premature.
Liberalism is dying unless you’re under 23 and an idiot.

Looks like MC just walked out of an indian casino and is sending smoke signals.
She sounds like a racoon that was treed, shot with a .22 and as she falls, hitting every damn branch along the way, screams “Wutch yuh doing to maw bawdee!!!???”
Yes, it seems to be apparently open-minded for sure. I wouldn’t have expected that from Continetti based on some of his stuff pre-election. That, and being the son-in-law of Bill Kristol.
Maybe he’s distancing himself from his [failed, IMO] father-in-law. We’ll just have to see.
I, for one, hope Warren gets the Dem nomination. :D
people that get overly emotional like that are prone to making errors. Keep up the trolling!!!
She's less relevant than Mz. 50-points-ahead.
Were Lizy Warren to run...it would be almost too funny.
The key is if she can manage to get herself re-elected. Which I doubt. She’s not popular amongst the public in Mass and could face a challenge from former Governor William Weld.
What is up at the end of the article when the author says the wheel of fortune will turn against President Trump “as it always does”?
What happens is - the Times’ top brass sets an agenda for what they would like to happen, and then asks their reporters to go out and find “facts” that would support that agenda.
So, obviously they would like Warren to run for President in 2020 and this is a way to present some “facts” that would place her as a front runner.
It would be only fitting that a person who claims to be female running as a democrat would win fewer states than George McG. Another place of honor in the democrat hall of participation trophies.
Yes, liberalism is dying. But it's being replaced by left fascism, which is thriving. Leftist voters do not vote for a positive vision of liberalism; the Democrats have given up on offering one. They are voting envy, resentment, and hatreds, of which they have many. And we are the target.
They THINK we are the targets. From what I understand, Midwestern and southern folk are good with guns, and the president is on our side.
The national guard ultimately answers to him.
I’d bet against them.
What those idiots at the Times have overlooked is that is what the Republicans want. Give a Screaming Moonbat a larger platform.
I think that was tongue in cheek sarcastic rhetoric. “As it always does” being they(MSM) keep saying he is losing(because they have such great insight) and, Voila! wrong again!
