I made a sun catcher and put it up a couple hours ago. A bird just hit the window one over from the sun catcher window. I don't think I'm going to win here folks.

Go outside and look at the window. Can you see into your room? If you cannot the birds are seeing a mirror and see not a house but the reflection of the outdoors. Stings and even your decals are just mirrored in the window.
Only way to keep it from appearing like a mirror is make the light watts inside higher than out side. Two possible solutions. Decrease light outside with awning -shrubs tree. Or increase the light inside with a big spot light that shines on the window.

Do you having awnings to cast a shadow on your windows?
Looking at the photo, appears that the sun shinning on your window would blind the birds since it is a large surface. Nothing breaks up that surface so it may appear like a sky to them.

At my house, the only window the birds fly into is the new 3’x6’ one. They don’t fly into the 3’x10’ ones because they are made of window panes. There’s that wood strip to break up the sky reflection they see.
