He gave up kinda on the one China policy. Think of it. A non negotiable point to previous admins. It was a big FU Xi. They are now willing to come to the negotiating table. Their arm was twisted into a no mas and they tapped out.
He is going to arm Taiwan to the teeth. They won nothing. They won face. He is going to make them rue the day he was elected. China is going to have a lot of face saving to do. It may look like nothing to us, but the policies he implements with their acquiescence, it will be HUUUUUGE!!
Yep. His opening offer was "everything is new". Publicly hasn't agreed to anything yet. Those Chinese with their supposed "centuries long view of history" just showed how antsy they are - it was their "tell".
