Federal immigration authorities arrested at least 160 illegal aliens over multiple days and across multiple states in what the U.S. Department of Homeland Security is calling routine immigration enforcement actions.
Department of Homeland Security spokesperson Gillian Christensen confirmed to the Washington Post that routine immigration enforcement actions were taken this week in Los Angeles, California; Atlanta, Georgia; and two other cities that were not identified. The enforcement actions took place at home and workplaces.
The spokesperson noted it was an unprecedented step to issue statements on such raids while they were ongoing, but fast-spreading social media commentary triggered the agency to comment in this case.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) attested that 160 illegal aliens were arrested in the southern Californian region, including Los Angeles, according to NBC San Diego. The report stated that those with criminal histories and deportation orders were targeted over a five-day sweep.

Any chance the weasel governor is telling the people one thing and Trump another because he needs fed money?
I doubt it.
“...in what the U.S. Department of Homeland Security is calling, ‘routine’ immigration enforcement actions.”
Keep it up. Do this daily, including weekends. Lather, Rinse, Repeat.
How many people can we arrest and deport every day, every year? If there are only 12 million, to clear them means 1 million a month, that’s over 33 thousand a month. Now I think there are more likely 30-60 million illegals. arrest and deporting will be overwhelming, even if satisfying effort.
You have to start somewhere...
Trump’s version of Friday Dump
many will self-deport.
The next growth industry: non voyage parties for deportees. Pinatas and mariachi bands included.
Get these filthy tax moochers outta here.
Like Lemmings to the Sea! :)
Social media is all over these handfuls of ICE arrest of the past few days. While the usual suspects will be soon rioting in the streets, the benefit is word is spreading that ICE means business.
To conserve resources this administration, and probably many state governors, will implement measures so as to force the illegals to self deport.
Not to worry. It will take time to reverse the dereliction of duty by past obama, bush, and clinton administrations. But it will be done.
Hopefully the border will see lots of action in the other direction.
Round 'em up, Prez !
The LEO's were promised co-operation and protection.
That’s a low number. Are they just testing the laws and the system? See if the Democrats defy the law and try to stop the legal system?
All i know is, that in South Florida, if you had to go to the ER, wear an ICE hat and the waiting room empties out in seconds, ensuring you prompt service.
Put some ICE on that.
Let’s not forget that once these removals of people with pending deportation orders get going, it will likely cause a multiple of that number of illegals going home on their own. Trump should make it clear that anyone who has to be forcibly removed will be barred from ever returning under any circumstance. The other side of the coin that needs to be explored is how to treat businesses that have been knowingly hiring them. Part of the problem is that if “everybody is doing it” and you don’t, you will be driven out of business. So we have to find a way to induce all of them to start the process of letting their illegals go and hiring citizens. Nobody wins if the businesses fail. I worked with a guy who had had a contract manufacturing business in the Silicon Valley. He said he didn’t like hiring illegals, but he’d go out of business in short order if he didn’t because all of his competitors had them. Unfortunately, his bank took his business when he borrowed too much to try and expand and it put him under.
Never going to actually deport them all. But just the fact that ICE is back in business will accelerate self deportation, and seriously discourage new invaders.
Will take time to sort this multi decadal mess left to President Trump. Needs to be done methodically since a rapid ramp up would cause many short term problems.
While the news is concentrated on the big sanctuary cities, I believe the most immediate impact will be felt in small town and rural America where ICE will have local law enforcement working in concert with them to get rid of the criminals in their towns.
