Remember when her Selma movie was coming out Oprah was trying to promote her “victim-cred” by claiming she was discriminated against... by a shop girl at a leather shop in Zurich who “wouldn’t show her a $40,000 leather handbag”?
The piece is called Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer II and is from 1912. The subject was the wife of a prominent Jewish industrialist and art patron in Vienna.

Smart or lucky choice of investments. Faulting a person for taking advantage of such an opportunity doesn’t make sense. She took the risk and reaped the profit; it could just as well have gone down in value.
The value of the painting is determined by the market, not by Oprah. Klimt is a wonderful artist. This is the painting she sold:

It's impossible to show how magnificent these last two Art Nouveau paintings are on computer, since they are done with actual gold leaf. To see them glowing with real gold in a museum is an amazing experience.
