Last year, eight members of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence issued a demand that their staffers be granted access to top secret classified information.
The signatories to the letter were Andre Carson, Luis Guiterez, Jim Himes, Terri Sewell, Jackie Speier, Mike Quigley, Eric Swalwell and Patrick Murphy. All the signatories were Democrats. Some had a history of attempting to undermine national security.
Two of them have been linked to an emerging security breach.
The office of Andre Carson, the second Muslim in Congress, had employed Imran Awan. As did the offices of Jackie Speier and Debbie Wasserman Schultz; to whom the letter had been addressed.
Imran Awan and his two brothers, Jamal and Abid, are at the center of an investigation that deals with, among other things, allegations of illegal access. They have been barred from the House of Representatives network.
A member of Congress expressed concern that, they may have stolen data from us.
All three of the Pakistani brothers had been employed by Democrats. The offices that employed them included HPSCI minority members Speier, Carson and Joaquín Castro. Congressman Castro, who also sits on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, utilized the services of Jamal Moiz Awan. Speier and Carsons offices utilized Imran Awan.
Abid A. Awan was employed by Lois Frankel and Ted Lieu: members of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs. Also on the committee is Castro. As is Robin Kelly whose office employed Jamal Awan. Lieu also sits on the subcommittees on National Security and Information Technology of the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. . .

“..who warned me against reading too much into these mens names.”
Maybe because they are alias’ anyway!?
Regardless, the idea of three brothers in IT, hired by Democrats and fired for breaching security should raise eyebrows even if their names were Larry, Darryl and Darrell.
I noticed before the election that there are a few on FR that are quick to defend the left’s agenda. More so than in years past.

It’s been far too long since anyone has been executed for treason.
These folks who bring in the musliiimb dreggs need to be forced to live with them in somalia
So, the Dem minority leader must be the one who chooses who will be on what Select Committees? Is there any way to block Dems from the Intelligence committes, if they employ Muslim Britherhood people? Has the Muslim Brotherhood been declared a terrorist organization yet?
THE RATS OWN IT.
And Ted Lieu is an Air Force reserve JAG who used to work for me. Well, “work” is being kind: he did what he wanted, when he wanted, and was always more concerned with strutting his (at that time) status as a California assembly,an than in doing his job as a JAG. This surprises me not at all.

Article excerpt: In October 2009, a data breach on Capitol Hill that revealed the names of at least eight lawmakers being investigated for ethics violations called into question the cybersecurity policies that exist for Congress and led House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) to pledge an "immediate and comprehensive assessment" of how the entire legislative body handles sensitive data.
Generally, the House ethics committee does not reveal the names of representatives involved in preliminary investigations in order to protect them from unfairly being associated with impropriety.
But representatives Maxine Waters (D-CA), Laura Richardson (D-CA) and up to six others were identified as targets of committee probes after a junior staffer improperly uploaded an internal document to a peer-to-peer file-sharing network, making it accessible to virtually anyone.
Experts believe the file was downloaded by users in Washington, New York and even as far away as London, and the leak became public after the Washington Post published the news.
The staffer responsible was fired soon thereafter, but that provided little solace for lawmakers whose reputations can be clouded by even the specter of investigation.

Decades ago, I was in the Navy. They/the FBI ran a 16 page personal history BI check on my wife and I and our immediate family for my top secret clearance.
One of my oldest/longest time friends said the check by the FBI and ONI was one of the most exciting things that happened to him and other people who knew me in my hometown. My wife was from an even smaller town and people there wondered what my wife and I had done.
That was on top of 3 Secret clearances, I had on summer jobs and my first job after college.
After my TS clearance, I became a member of the NavSec Group.
At that time even with that clearance, Need to Know prevailed. If I didn’t have a need to know about something, I was not cleared. That came from my CO and probably more checks.
A funny insight of how the clearance BI’s continued. While I as in the reserves/NavSec,in the DC area. We bought our first home in Centreville, Va. We nicknamed the condo complex, spookville. A very large % of the homeowners had at least one member of the family in the DIA, ONI, ASA, NSG, NSA, CIA, ?.
About once a year, a nice FBI guy would come out and talk to the wives.
We were the first house in a section, and he stopped at our home first. He showed his id and asked about other wives in the section. She asked him if he would like for her to call them and have coffee with them. He paused and said yes. She called the other wives and told them about him.
They brought their babies, the stork had been busy in Spookville and had coffee with the agent. The next time before he came, he called my wife to arrange for the coffee break for the Spook wifes/Moms/babies and him.
During that time, I had become friends with the White House Physician, a Captain in the Navy at that time. He had been the WH doc for Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon and later Ford.
President Ford was out in California and had couple of close calls from crazies. I got a call from my friend, now an Admiral. He asked if my wife would like to go Pepperdine to here President Ford speak.
I joked with him and said “You guys want some friends in the audience”. He chuckled and said it won’t hurt.
So I told him that we would be there. He told to go to the SS tent for our passes/seat assignment when we got the area.
My wife was delighted and asked how would I know the SS guys and where their tent was. I said no problem.
We went down to Pepperdine. I asked an agent where their tent was and told him, why. He took us o the SS tent. I showed them, my California Driver’s license and my wife’s. They had a teletype machine, and after they entered some data.
Several pages were printed out. We got the passes and seat assignments. I had been out of the reserves for a few years, and they still had a lot of data on us.
After we sat down in the 6th row, my wife noticed some guys with rifles on the roofs around the outdoor theatre area. She asked, who are those guys. I told her SS snipers.
Then, the reality of the situation hit her, a moment later she relaxed. It was an enjoyable and un eventful time at the speech and post speech time.
The point to this long story is simple. I could document ancestors back to the Mayflower and Jamestown. Ancestors who fought against the Brits in two wars. WWI and WWII vets and Korean War Vets. No criminals in our family. As my wife noted, “A really boring group on both sides of the family!”
Yet to get a TS clearance, I had to fill out over 10 pages of personal history on my wife and me. Then, we and our family were vetted. Also, I/we may have been vetted/monitored after my active reserve time was finished.
So, how in hell did 3 foreign born rectums from potentially hostile countries/areas get a TS clearance?
How many of our servicemen and specop guys were exposed by these Muslim thugs.
Can the recent death of one of our Seals in Yemen be the fault of these rectums? The bad guys knew our Seal team was going there, when and where. Who gave them that top secret info?
How about the members of Seal Team 6 team being taken down in their helicopter and they ended Ben Laden?
What other harm did these rectums do to our men and our country.
Again, how in hell did 3 foreign born rectums from potentially hostile countries/areas get a TS clearance?
Great post, Grampa Dave, and you are asking the $64,000 question.
Personally, I think the White House under Obama greenlighted a lot of these rectums and salted them all over the Federal government.
When will these idiots learn that Islam is as big a threat to American democracy as Communism ever was.
Even bigger.
Lets just hope this miserable failure of a political theocracy fails as bad as Communism.
Personally, I think the White House under Obama greenlighted a lot of these rectums and salted them all over the Federal government.
You're absoluely right. For eight years the White Hut was infested with muzzie brothers and worse. So now the rot has filtered down to the Congress?
Ain't surprised.
Well being barred from any work for the House intelligence committee, they are apparently still working for some Democrats for their own offices.
