These reforms are the opening "low offer". President Trump can do better.

I bet he isn’t too popular at the BATFE these days.
That entire bureaucracy should be disarmed and disbanded.
Or sent back to the Treasury department to resume their original mission of chasing down tax evaders.
They can help round up marijuana tax evaders in Colorado.

.. lifting the ban on imported [** so-called **] assault weapons.. Trump wouldn't like that, since it might create more competition and cost some American manufacturing jobs.

Doesn’t every new government regulation require the resrescinding of two existing regulations?
Swamp draining.

Has there ever been an analysis done (even at the state level) on how much it costs to have things like waiting periods for firearms acquisitions in states like California, Hawaii, and others and their impacts on the criminal and tragic misuse of firearms? The same could be could be asked of Illinois and it’s Firearm Owners Identification certificates or licencing in Massachusetts.

Pass a Federal law that nullifies the unconstitutional gun laws in states like California, Massachusetts, Colorado, New Jersey, New York, Illinois, Hawaii, and all the rest. Also pass a national right to carry.

"ATF"
This is just an aside, but the lumping of alcohol, tobacco, and firearms under one agency has always seemed strange to me. I mean, we don't have an agency for cakes, pies, and power tools, so why are these three things associated with each other? Is it to - in a subtle way - suggest that firearms are an optional vice like alcohol and tobacco, and therefore not constitutionally protected? Just wondering.
