In the wake of a holiday season that was worse than the company expected, Target has decided to cut two of its most ambitious long-term projects before either even got off the ground, according to multiple sources.

I hope Target goes under. Not only do they support pedophiles, but those greedy bastards bought my favorite online cook supply house, Chefs Catalog, and a year later, closed it down.
Target can rot in Hell!
It’s too bad they gave up on their robot-manned store, where customers order stuff at the front, wait for a robot to pick up their orders and bring it up front, pay and leave. It’s a little Soviet-like, but it would cut costs in many ways and allow Target to open stores in high-crime areas.
I don’t know why their sales haven’t doubled, what with all of the support of the LGBTQ community. Good call, Target.
Sounds like the major shareholders are getting out while the getting out is still good.
But of course they’ll keep their 5-types of bathrooms in case a 45 yo man dressed up as a 12 yo girl feels like using the ladies room.
that’s not a fair thing to say. It’s like blaming upstate new york for NYC and rural illinois for chicago. I spend a good % of money at WalMart at all hours and 90% of the employees are conscientious and 90% of the customers appear to be regular people.
Other stores may have the same policy, but Target announced their decision publically and made a big deal about it.
I'm not alone, and I have no intention of giving in.
And, I'll talk to anyone about my decision; who knows how many I've convinced?

* Part of the rich Obama legacy, n'est ce pas?
It certainly is a fair thing to say in my area (between Newark & Jersey City); our Wal-Mart should have its own police substation. Welfarians will literally fill shopping carts (and include items like flat-screen TVs) and try to walk out; they then brawl with security until cops come.
I like Wal-Mart; I just understand you have to be there before the mutants wake up shortly before noon.
Where is your closest Wal-Mart? That is probably the key difference.
Several times over the past Christmas season I was tempted to go to Target, fairly confident they would have in stock what was wanted. But NO WAY was I going to go in there. I’d rather do without than patronize that place.
This business has always been strange to me.
They have a bullseye as a symbol of Company yet do not support anything associated with said symbol.
Typical left BS.
F’em.
“Thats a good reason to shop on Amazon.”
Amazon CEO Bezos is supporting the anti-Trump lawsuits.
Bezos also owns the Washington Post.
What about Costco?
Bezos brought founding president and CEO Ryan from Politico to be CEO of Washington Post.
I go to Walmart to observe the shoppers. It’s a little like bird watching, you just need a strong stomach.
LOL! You beat me to it!
The last time I was in Walmart was about 10 years ago. I was on my way to meet a friend for dinner and it was about 6:30PM-—a Saturday, and I dashed in for some yarn.
I was 74 at the time and after seeing what was roaming around in there I walked out feeling like a Melania Trump.
I told my friend it was a great place to go on a Saturday night for a boost to one’s self-esteem.
.
“What about Costco?”
I shop there, but ....
In my area you wouldn’t enjoy it at all; far too many people to be comfortable.
