Report: Trump lashes out at Australian PM on phone call
Autoplay: On | Off Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said Thursday that he spoke to the Australian ambassador to express support for the nations' relationship after a heated call from President Trump.
"I called Australia’s Ambassador to the United States this morning to express my unwavering support for the U.S.-Australia alliance," McCain, who's frequently criticized Trump, said in a statement.
McCain added that he asked Joe Hockey, the Australian ambassador to the U.S., to "convey to the people of Australia" that Americans value their alliance, "honor the sacrifice of the Australians who have served and are serving by our side, and remain committed to the safer, freer, and better world that Australia does far more than its fair share to protect and promote.”

I can’t stand even looking at a picture of this guy. He dumped his disabled wife to run off with a younger women with family money.
To his credit, he still pays for her medical expenses. He should. She was run over while she was out working for his release and the release of prisoners of war.
One reason I despise the GOP establishment is because they forced me to have no option but to vote for one of the worse human beings on earth, a duplicitous, vindictive, backstabbing grandstander who has no business being anywhere near power. I voted for him primarily because of Sarah Palin, because otherwise I’d have sat it out. I now wish I had because every time I see this filth in the news I am forced to confront my own shame in having supported him once.

No. I have no doubts about it. I can tell from his behavior. There IS a rump #nevertrump group or clique within the GOP that has organized itself and are talking among themselves. They are not public in these early days, but instead are waiting for Trump to stumble, and waiting for their chance to come to the fore.

Nauru 21 square miles. Population about 9000 persons. Troubles from desperate persons so confined with some violence. Conditions causing a nightmare for administrators. One set of monetary figures are that between 2013 and 2016 - 9.6 billion dollars have been spent by Australia. One successful relocation was to Cambodia and it cost millions (so it was said) to do this for one man.
With all due respect to the Australians who are caught between a rock and a hard place. They must think America under the previous administration were a bunch of absolute patsies.
