According to a transcript obtained by AP of the phone call which took place on Friday morning between President Trump and his Mexican counterpart, Enrique Pena Nieto, and which was intended to patch things up between the new president and his Mexican peer a day after Pena Nieto called off his visit to the US, Trump threatened to send U.S. troops to stop "bad hombres down there" unless the Mexican military does more to control them itself.
The excerpt of the call did not make clear who exactly Trump considered "bad hombres," - drug cartels, immigrants, or both - or the tone and context of the remark, made in a Friday morning phone call between the leaders.

Mexico runs on it’s stomach so bring tons of Tacos and you’ll control the county in about a week

It wouldn’t be the first time an American army marched into Mexico City. Maybe it’s time to clean out that hellhole once more.

I’ve always figured that we need to create safe Havens in Mexico so that we can return all Mexicans to Mexico and let them live there safely.

Not a good idea.Sure, station the 1st Infantry Division on *our* side of the border but going into Mexico uninvited isn't wise.
Tempting for sure...but there are times when temptation must be resisted.

The biggest threat to America's sovereignty, security and culture is Mexico's policy of illegal immigrant invasion. The primary duty of any nation's government and military is to protect its borders and citizens from invasion and violence. Mexico's leaders should think very hard about their evil plans of reconquista unless they want to see the sole superpower in the world and their next door neighbor decide to conquer Mexico a third time.
If America has to militarily pacify Mexico again there is a high likelihood that Mexico will lose the entire north and western portions of Mexico to American territorial expansion. We have 30 million Mexicans who voted with their feet so we might as will have some land to settle them on.

Oil and plenty of it. They already have a fence built on the southern border and with a 2nd Amendment the cartels wouldn’t last a week. A third of their population is already here so I can’t see a down side.

Developers were drooling over the Baja coast last time I paddled and camped there circa ‘94.
I’d expect that hasn’t changed.
