The Trump administration is considering a plan to weed out would-be immigrants who are likely to require public assistance, as well as to deport — when possible — immigrants already living in the United States who depend on taxpayer help, according to a draft executive order obtained by The Washington Post. The White House would not confirm or deny the authenticity of the orders, and White House officials did not respond to requests for comment about the drafts on Monday and Tuesday.

It always reminds me of the story of King Solomon, when the two women fighting over the baby came to him, and he threatened to cut the baby in half and give each woman half. One woman said, "Fine, go ahead." The other said, "No, don't hurt him... she can have him, just don't hurt him!" She was the real mother. And that is the perfect analogy for this country. When Obama was elected, we hated it, but we did nothing to hurt this country. Better that he should have it than it be destroyed. But they... they are not the Real Mom.
I want the illegals to think it’s true and I hope it would;ld become so. We need to remove the incentives to be here illegally. The only device that an illegal should receive is emergency medical care enough to return them to their country of origin.

Good point. Poor whites too. Also, leaking it in advance might encourage many illegals to self-deport. The welfare agencies have their addresses.
But do I understand correctly that LEGAL immigrants in future will face a means test to determine if they will become a burden on the taxpayer?

The huddled masses could still come here, but their sponsors would need to be known in advance and prepared to take care of them through independent charities.

So, they’re not citizens (which Welfare is for); so they are not eligible for WELFARE.

I see nothing wrong with requiring a high level of “hot” in our immigration candidates.
Prior to welfare state created by Johnson and the democrats you could not immigrate to the Untied States unless you could show support or you were sponsored by a family. My wife’s father was an Army engineer in WWII. He helped liberate several concentration camps in Germany. He ran into his polish cousin in one of those camps and after six months at the end of the war helped his cousin and their family immigrate to the United States where they lived in Wisconsin.

THEN pass laws that NO ILLEGAL can ever become a citizen. They can never vote in our election. First election they vote in is cause for them to be sent home. Period. On the spot - that day and with their kids.
Then work out what to do - work permits? Whatever. By the time the gangs are gone and the Wall is up there will be less resistance. I'm in favor of stopping all immigration - from everywhere. Liberal elites bring these people in, put them in our communities, pat themselves on the back for being so magnanimous, then raise our taxes (and threaten cuts to Social Security plans to raise retirement age to 80 - - SO WE CAN SUPPORT ALL THE 'IMMIGRANTS' THEY BRING IN AND PUT ON WELFARE THE VERY NEXT DAY.
