The Trump administration is considering a plan to weed out would-be immigrants who are likely to require public assistance, as well as to deport — when possible — immigrants already living in the United States who depend on taxpayer help, according to a draft executive order obtained by The Washington Post. The White House would not confirm or deny the authenticity of the orders, and White House officials did not respond to requests for comment about the drafts on Monday and Tuesday.

I once met a gal who moved to Palm Beach. She was a tall, gorgeous model with long legs and red hair. She got a job at Hermes on Worth Avenue and was there a couple of days before a gazillionaire walked in. She walked out with him and never went back to the store for her paycheck. How it all turned out, I don’t know.
That’s at least a story of some personal effort or sacrifice to enter and stay in this country. There’s that old adage for young women - “marry the richest man you can stomach.”
And, in this, the ‘sacrifice’ possibly could have been hers - but her choice and not a burden on the taxpayer. The real issue today is the public support these refugees and immigrants are getting (AND STAYING ON!).
It’s a good bet the laws didn’t change.

That's always a possibility, especially with the newness of this administration and the fact that they don't have their team in place yet.
However, there just seems to be too many .. and at the most opportune times to scramble the opposition's defense positions .. to be enemy action. I mean, just as the the protests start about the cabinet appointments and voting, the bomb hits about the immigration "ban". Then as the focus shifts to that, up pops the Supreme Court nomination. And there's not much time to gin up opposition to that when this "leak" hits.
With forces striking at multiple points on their defensive line, the opposition spends too much time just juggling their forces to meet the thrusts. They're not having time to settle into place and put up a solid defense; as they keep trying to shift their focus, eventually holes are going to develop and our forces can strike through cleanly.
For all of you Civil War buffs, think of the battle of Chickamauga, with Rosecrans shifting his forces around, finally leaving a gap in the center of his line just as Longstreet sent Hood's division into the gap.
If President Trump can keep the opposition scrambling from one "crisis" to another, they're going to be too busy doing that when the knockout punch arrives.
I agree. I think these things are being thrown out to send the lefties into hyperventilation. There will be so many issues and when they go bonkers over everything, they lose their effectiveness. It’s just like a kid having a meltdown over everything. You just learn to shake your head and ignore them.
oh if it was indeed leaked there is no doubt an Obama left over did it... maybe a double agent in trumps support team. but me thinks that if they get caught by Trumps team, more to them will happen than just being fired... Im talkin Prosecution if possible!!
I’ve been doing genealogy research - found a document from when my great grandparents entered the country. In it, they had to declare how much money they had (the form recommended a minimum of $50, which was a lot in 1904). And they also had to declare who they knew/what family they had in the country...and where they were located, so they could go stay with them. Finally, they had to declare that they indeed had a train ticket to get to that location.
The comparisons between unchecked crossings at the Mexican border and traditional immigration are ridiculous.
