Yes, I never saw Krystol for anything other than what he is. Will used to be a lot better too.

He and Krauthammer really fell over the cliff.

Why couldn’t they have remained strong and pulled Krystol over the line?

Well, since that "version" is based on demonstrable facts, yes I will believe it. Remember the definition of delusional:

characterized by or holding idiosyncratic beliefs or impressions that are contradicted by reality or rational argument, typically as a symptom of mental disorder.

Facts, i.e. reality, support that candidate Trump supported appointing liberal justices and now has changed his position. So between the two of us, who is more delusional? Do you dare to assert that candidate Trump has not supported the appointment of liberal justices and thus has been a cornerstone of conservative values all along? If so, support it with facts. Caution: I am letting you know right now that is a trap.

Because I am not a Republican, yes I am in the right party for my conservative views. I am a member of the Constitution Party.

He didn’t support appointing Liberal judges.

It was his sister you moron. What did you expect him to say? Did you expect him to lay into his sister there on camera because she was a liberal?

Any time his sister comes up, he’s going to say nice things about her. You don’t have the tools to grasp that?

And now you’re using those comments to justify the claim he supported Leftist judges?

You’re simply ignorant.

You’re another Ted Cruz crybaby.

Trump said something nice about his sister. Imagine that.

Candidate Trump said his sister would make a phenomenal supreme court justice. That is way more than being "nice", it is a resounding endorsement. Candidates can praise a public official, but when they do, it is right for the voters to review the record of those individuals and see what kind of person the candidate is praising.

Is Trump appointing pro abortion justices?

So far, at least as I am aware, President Trump has only nominated one candidate for either SCOTUS or the federal bench. That one candidate is not pro abortion. As I have said, I see that as a good thing and a change in his prior stated position as a candidate.

Is he fully funding Planned Parenthood?

Please stay on topic.

You know, you really need to pull your head out and take a breath of fresh air.

That statement is a logical fallacy known as an "ad hominem" attack. Please avoid in the future.

Somewhere in the conservative ether, there’s a medal for heroism with your name on it!

Oh somewhere in this favored land, the sun is shining bright.

Candidate Trump could have easily said I like her, she is a great person, etc. He should have said, there are a few issues that I disagree with her on but I am not going to go into that.

No, I claim that he has historically held liberal positions, one of which is showing support for liberal justices. Donald Trump shocked attendees at the conservative CPAC conference in February when he declared himself pro-life after years of supporting the pro-abortion position

Again with the ad hominem attacks. Cant you support your positions with facts?

At times I think Perino is more democrat than republican.

Like her former boss Dubya, who never met a spending bill he didn't sign.

DoughtyOne,

taxcontrol is one of those who did not pay attention and who missed crucial details.

> “...Dropped his idea ...”; perhaps not. But he certainly did
change his tune.”

NO! And here’s evidence, from the ignominious ‘National Review’ no less:

>> Donald Trump told Mark Halperin yesterday that his sister, a federal judge, would be a “phenomenal” Supreme Court justice. He also said that “we will have to rule that out now, at least.”

http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/423196/trump-praises-his-sister-pro-abortion-extremist-judge-ramesh-ponnuru

> “Perhaps you are not aware that candidate Trump, in his Aug 26 interview with Mark Halperin, praised his sister who is a very pro abortion judge. I believe the term he used was “phenomenal”

See the detail above that you missed because you were not paying attention or deliberately left out:

>> “He also said that “we will have to rule that out now, at least.”

Let’s repeat that for emphasis:

HE ALSO SAID THAT “WE WILL HAVE TO RULE THAT OUT FOR NOW, AT LEAST.”

Is there something between the ears that in incapable of understanding the above?

Donald Trump NEVER intended, not for a second, to consider his sister for the seat of Scalia, NOT EVER!

But the Cruzbots acted reprehensibly in castigating Donald Trump for having a liberal sister as if tens of millions of conservatives across the country had not experienced having a family member who was liberal.

Cruz dug his hole and jumped in.

I am sorry that Andrew is not here to savor the victory. He would be proud!

Perhaps he knows, from where he is.

Yesterday a freeper posted on a thread, wish I could remember which, that he had been in a clinically dead state for awhile during an operation and had experienced heaven, only to be brought back to earth. He said that when he was there, he could hear people praying for him, and knew which ones they were.

Does “rule that out for now” change the fact that he said his sister would make a phenomenal justice? No.

What it means is that he thinks she would be great on SCOTUS or federal bench ... at a later time.

I am not considering ONLY Scalia’s seat. And I am not considering only now. I am considering any and all appointments to SCOTUS and/or the federal bench. The use of the logical fallacy of black or white i.e. filling Scalia’s seat; is not appropriate here as she could be appointed to any federal judgeship.

Granted, I am pleased that he has not followed that prior perception of her in appointing her to the bench (yet) and has nominated a conservative to SCOTUS. I hope and prey that he continues in that vein.

However, the very reason I did not vote for Trump was that I fear that he will return to his prior liberal views. If he does not, he will go down as one of the greatest Presidents the US has ever had and I will full acknowledge his actions.

However, I still stand ready to call out any liberal mis-steps should he start to back slide

I wonder if Sundance ever does live interviews. Seems like a interesting person to see/hear in person.

I’m a YUGE admirer of Sundance!

Me too. His original reporting on the Zimmerman case was amazing and his early selection of Trump was right on.

"... a detailed, sincere, contrite formal apology would go a long way toward my acceptance of them back “into the fold.” But it should be treated as “probationary,” because too many of these people appear to have evil, opportunistic motives and hearts.

Might start with a list of names that can be added to, and a letter demanding surrender with a time limit attached of say January 20, 2018.

I'd like to see the National Review gather as many of them up as they can and publish another issue of essays like their "Against Trump" issue, called, "We Were Wrong" in great big letters on the cover, with all the mea culpas inside.
