Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Monday called for a state constitutional amendment to codify abortion rights should Roe v. Wade be overturned, the latest idea from Democrats in this blue state eager to push back against the new administration of President Donald Trump.
Addressing hundreds of abortion-rights supporters rallying in Albany, Cuomo said New York must ensure that legal access to abortion services and birth control continues regardless of what Trump and other Washington Republicans do.
“Our rights are under attack in Washington,” Cuomo said at the event. “As they pull on our rights, we’re going to push back.” …

Why would Cuomo need to do this if the right is so clear in the US Constitution? Hmmmmmm?
He’s not even claiming this to be an assertion of states’ rights, yet that is. Since they like to pigeonhole that as an issue that belongs to “the right”, he can’t use that terminology.
When the Left is running out of options, they always revert to abortion abortion abortion to rouse up their low-income woman voters.
Remember: Cuomo is talking about “men’s rights” to threaten and coerce women into having abortions.

Because the Son of Il Supremo knows that when The Donald is through with the Supreme Court Roe v. Wade will likely be overruled. This State constitutional amendment is meant to be abortion insurance.

One of the dodges employed by Mario the Pious was that he was absolutely helpless. He was obliged by his oath of office to defend the Constitution. And he defined the Constitution as Supreme Court decisions.
The Church is now so feeble that Andrew Cuomo doesn’t even waste his time spinning the rationalizations that his father used to spin. Cardinal Dolan explicitly refused to say that Andrew, shacked up and pro-abortion, was not a “good Catholic.”
Is Cuomo even pretending be Catholic still? With this Pope he may actually be considered a good Catholic.
There is no natural God-Given right to kill your own genetic offspring. Can’t put in any evil “law” which is antithetical to the Constitution of the USA.
The only Natural Rights are God-given, and that baby, once conceived, has a Natural Right to Life, as stated in the Founding documents and people have the Natural DUTY to raise their own offspring or give it to someone who can nurture it properly with both male and female role models..
Of course, a Vice System would allow killing babies and denying a mother or father for that baby. But that is all unconstitutional as all unjust “law” are “null and void” as Justice Marshall and the Nuremberg Trials stated.

Dolan was asked immediately after Cuomo was elected whether Cuomo is a “good Catholic,” and Dolan said he would be unwilling to say that he is not.
The same Dolan who said that the black, half-blind Governor, a pro-abortion Democrat—can’t remember his name—was “a Catholic who takes his Christian faith very seriously.”
