Yes, but since Trump will be replacing a conservative justice with another conservative, the outcry won't be nearly what it will be down the road if Ginsburg (age 83) or Breyer (age 78) leaves the court. That replacement will be a donnybrook.

Actually, the politically tactical thing for the left to do would be to go through the motions of feigning outrage, then pseudo-supporting the nomination, so that the leftists can then act as if they can be bipartisan.

That way, when the Ginsburg replacement is announced, the one that will tip the Court and start the reversing of the absurd rules of the last two generations, the left can then go into full-Bork mode, claiming that they can be bipartisan with a realistic nominee, but this nominee (and it won't matter who it is, it could be Lindsey Graham for all they would care) is "beyond the extremist pale."

That's the beauty of Trump's approach. The target area is so rich, they can't focus their fire. They're like inexperience quail hunters. You can't fire aimlessly into an exploding covey. You have to focus on tracking a single bird. They haven't figured it out. Likely never will. The covey lifts off, and they start shooting feets. Yes, feets.
