President Trump has a unique skill set when it comes to getting his message to the American people, wrangling the press and emerging from the effort unscathed. His dealings with journalists are precise and canny, indeed.
Why are the relations between Donald Trump and the press so bad? There are two reasons. One is that Trump is a Republican, and the press consists overwhelmingly of Democrats. But the other reason is that Trump likes it this way, because when the press is constantly attacking him over trivialities, it strengthens his position and weakens the press, writes Instapundit columnist Glenn Reynolds in USA Today. Trumps outrageous statements and tweets arent the product of impulsiveness, but part of a carefully maintained strategy that the press is too impulsive to resist.
The president, Mr. Reynolds says, has more media experience than probably 99 percent of the people covering him.
The press also gets pretty much everything wrong about Mr. Trump according to Fox News anchor Sean Hannity.

You know what though?
The government can at any time for any reason revoke someone's green card and send them home.
It's a PRIVILEGE to be allowed in this country if you are not a citizen, not a right.
I'm a little mixed on banning people who were already in the air, but just because they can't get what they expect is no reason to cave. It's too bad their plans are disrupted but life happens.
They are guests here and have a home to go to. They're not being made homeless by this action.
A few months ago, a relative who is a diehard Democrat was repulsed to see Art of the Deal on my bookcase.

Prominently display a copy of Mein Kampf for her next visit, she will be duly impressed.
My first thought was that someone dropped the ball.
But then I reconsidered.
I think Team Trump did it precisely this way to throw the SJW warriors and ACLU types into a tizzy and get it to the courts quick so the legality of the EO is dealt with and he gets a quick win.
Each quick and easy win strengthens his hand and makes the left leery of running to the courts again.
The press, SJW types, demonrat officeholders and pundits will someday realise President Trump not only plays hardball, he has his game planned out far in advance and they can’t do a damned thing about it. Just react as he has expected they would.
Game, Set, Match.
Just MHO.
And way more intellect than 100% of the people covering him.
Spot on!
Wait until the press realizes Trump has reissued Obama’s immigration actions and they have shown themselves to be absolute tools once again.
I hope you’re right.
If there is any advantage to having ACLU shop this around to various liberal Judges, the sooner this is made apparent to all, the better. For now, most libs think they have scored two ‘wins’ with two different judges.
I imagine Team Trump has been game planning this since he won the election and took into account the litigious nature of the liberals.
In fact, I would bet he planned his first 100 days while he was holed up in Trump Tower and taking into account the various lawsuits that would pop up.
He would have built in options in his plans depending how the lawsuits go.
Donald Trump is accustomed to dealing with courts the world over and has learned how to use the system.
I ain’t worried.
