Mary Tyler Moore It’s a Long Way to Tipperary

I watched this live that Saturday March 19 1977
Had no idea she was still kickin.
We had MTM.
They have cough cough Katie Perry.
No comparison.
For those who remember the show Calling Mr. D, her legs were the one shown of the secretary answering the phone.
Mary is pretty much a patron saint up here in Minneapolis. God bless her and give her comfort
That was my first thought. And lou grant telling Mary an old girlfriend had a butt so tight you could crack an egg on it.
Awww. Good memories.
Amen.
beautiful, yet she does “humble” so well. a very good example for young women.
I’ll say. Charlie Chaplain is in “grave” condition. So is George Washington.
I’m sorry to hear this. Such a talented comedienne! A very nice person, too.
I’ve always liked MTM... she’s a class act and back in the 1960s as Laura Petrie, was smokin’ hot!
And then her Mary Richards was an icon of women having careers.
“You know what? You’ve got spunk...... I HATE spunk.”
Laura Petrie and Mary Richards. Prayers up.
It was not “Calling Mr. D”...
Her first series was “Richard Diamond, Private Detective.”
You heard her voice and saw her legs - nothing more. Best legs in the business!
For me, Mary Tyler Moore Show was the 70’s icon for feminism, in a good way. The show was an eye opener for me, that a woman could make it on her own, be independent and have fun doing it.
So lovely and talented, and she did so much too for abandoned animals. Just a lovely woman. I’m sorry she had such a tough last decade on the health front.
I had to check for Dick Van Dyke - he is still alive at age 91.
Mary Tyler Moore is 80.
I agree. You don’t have to be some screaming wild Feminazi to be a feminist.
An even lovelier lady than I thought!
;-)
