Tom Brady has had to answer numerous questions about his friendship with President Donald Trump, whom the New England Patriots quarterback has been friends with for a number of years. And that didn’t change a day after Brady led the Patriots to Super Bowl LI.
On Monday, Brady discussed his bond with the newly-elected president on his weekly interview with WEEI’s “Kirk and Callahan” show, somewhat understating his relationship with Trump.
“I have called him, yes, in the past. Sometimes he calls me. Sometimes I call,” Brady said, via the show’s website. “But, again, that’s been someone I’ve known. I always try to keep it in context because for 16 years you know someone before maybe he was in the position that he was in.
“He’s been very supportive of me for a long time. It’s just a friendship. I have a lot of friends. I call a lot of people.”
As Brady continued to elaborate, he wondered why their friendship has drawn so much attention.
“Why does everybody make such a big deal?” he added. “I don’t understand it.”
Brady likely will be asked more questions about the friendship as the Super Bowl approaches.

I haven’t watched football all year because of Krappydick AND the putrid NFL going along with his disgusting behavior, but I may make an exception for the super bowl to cheer on the Brady Bunch.
The reason it is a big deal to the left, they to make hay about something. The left is being pushed aside, they have useless ideas, wasteful ideas on all aspects of life. So, the left attaches itself to manufactured “issues” to attempt to stay relevent.

Agree. And would add, the diehard leftists hates football anyway because it's associated with patriotism, the national anthem, flag, and the masculine virtues. So criticizing a hero in football is another way of getting even for them.

Yes, the Left needs to make hay about something. Since, in their eyes, Trump is the equivalent of Satan, Tom Brady having a long term friendship with the Devil is worthy of comment and questioning.

As a Stiller fan, it pains me to admit it, but I'm pulling for the Pats just so rogergoddel has to hand the Super Bowl Trophy to Brady, and Brady can axe him if it is deflated?
Brady has a distinct advantage, He plays in the weakest or second weakest Division, he has the most favorable of matchups in the scheduling and of course the Pats cheat to the tune of about $2 million in fines so far.
Brady is also a first class pussy as far as toughness. He whines incessantly if a defensive player breathes on him too hard. I watch QB like Aaron Rodgers and Eli Manning get POUNED and neither says a word. They get up and go back to the huddle for the next play. First thing Brady does is run to the ref.
There will and should be a large asterisk after every one of the records set by Brady of the Pats.
