Donald Trump will not be 'El Presidente,' judging from the website his White House launched on Friday.
The new whitehouse.gov, unlike the online home of the Obama administration, has no Spanish-language content.
Visiting the old White House website address for content 'en Español' brings Web surfers to an error page.
The newly minted president made a point during the Republican primary season of his preference for immigrants to learn English, mocking former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush for speaking Spanish on the campaign trail.

It’s amazing that all around the world from Beijing to all over Europe....everyone knows that to succeed in business, you have to learn English. But folks come here and they don’t want to learn English.
To all Spanish speaking Americans - a country cannot be unified if its citizens speak different languages and live separate lives. You, or your parents or grandparents, came here either as legal or illegal immigrants so the onus is on you to learn the majority language. Come and be fullly Deplorable with the rest of us.
MAGA!
Alexander the Great also knew the power of language over the mind of peoples and their ability to integrate into the ruling society. People DO need to learn the language of the country they live in, and that goes for Americans living abroad, too.
I sure hope this is English-only and save taxpayer money by skipping translations. But unfortunately, I think I read Spicer or someone saying the rest is coming.
“Not tired of winning yet!”
With Obama, I awoke every day wondering what cringe-worthy event he would shepherd into my day.
With Trump, I’m smiling every day....
Winning!
Aside from the debate on whether the whole thing should be in Spanish, too, does anyone stop to realize that the labor cost doubles and slows things down to translate everything into Spanish? Then you’ve have complaints from different groups of Spanish speakers on what version of Spanish is chosen. Mexicans have their vocabulary and idioms, Cubans theirs, Castilians theirs. It’s a hornets’ nest. There are hundreds of languages and dialects spoken in the U.S.
That is funny and great!
A friend had a site where he put links for foreign languages under the little flag icons. All of them redirected to a “Learn to Speak English” online course ;-)
What does ‘Lie of Ommision’ mean?
Great the win with this one is. Hmmm.
In my best Yoda.
I have no problem with English only. Ballots should be English only. Aren’t citizens required to be conversant in our national language?
But this article was a phony attack on Trump. In fact, within its text there is a video of Spicer contradicting the whole thing.
Shoddy reporting.
It would have been humorous if they’d put the site up and offered it in UK-English, Canadian-English, Australian-English, and New Zealand-English as well.
No mas!
Eh?
No estoy cansado de ganar.
I love everything this guy does so far..!!
:-) :-) :-)
That's ok. I'll bet El Presidente Nieto of Mexico has an English language version of his official website.
Why are you laughing?
If the globalists think non-English speakers are da best, then let these non-English speakers use Google Translate to read the text at whitehouse.gov in their native language.
Germany going Arabic, America going English.
LMAO! LOVING IT!
You know what Trump should do?
Re-direct the link for “Spanish Version” to a GoFundMe page for “Build the Border Wall”!
