The Clintons are already plotting their comeback, a new report details.
Hillary Clinton is looking for a path to return to the political fray, as both she and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, examine how the former secretary of state suffered the most surprising, epic political defeat in recent memory, Politico reports.
“[D]espite the grave disappointment, resilience is in the Clintons’ DNA. So, while I certainly don’t expect to see them trying to assert their authority, I think there will be natural and welcome opportunities for them to engage,” said Mack McLarty, Bill Clinton’s former chief of staff.
Hillary Clinton is receiving briefings from her former campaign manager, Robby Mook, explaining what went wrong in the 2016 presidential race, while Bill Clinton has been blasting FBI Director James Comey for interfering in the election.
Neither is expected to seek public office again. But both are now expected to be involved in Democratic politics for years to come.

Hmmm... this looks to be a squaring off between the Clintons and the Obamas for control of the Democrat Party, or what’s left of it.
Not a chance, after the primary dirty tricks she played to steal the nomination last year (just to lose again), the Bernie Sanders crew would go ballistic (and probably go 3rd party) if she even seriously thought about running in 2020....
I think the names “Bush” and “Clinton” will remain politically toxic for at least the next half-century.
The Dem donors, who dropped millions into the Clinton campaign & got nothing in return, have demanded a ‘forensic audit’ if you will, of what went wrong. They also want to know what is being done to keep it from happening again. Until this process takes place, many of the large Dem donors have refused to contribute another dime and that is why such a good hard look is being taken at what happened (i.e. how Hillary blew it).

I don’t think the deep pockets will go along with her plan.
It wouldn’t surprise me if Hillary has deluded herself into thinking she can make another run for the White House in 2020. Even if she is still around then, and in relatively good health (a big “if”) I can’t see her getting anywhere near the support from the party that she had this year. Despite all of the talk about the Russians and a rigged election, they know she’s done as far as any further political aspirations are concerned. Democrats feel they need a new Barack Obama next time around, and I think they see that in Cory Booker. Who else do they have? (I mean, under the age of 70.)
