This happened on Inauguration Day in Washington DC just after Donald Trump swore into office. Everything had been fine up until this moment, and it just comes to show that "Peaceful" Protests aren't always what they seem to be.
If the perpetrator was a Trump supporter or a Conservative or anyone who could plausibly be associated with the Right, we would have non-stop coverage.
Why did it die? Why did we LET it die? Forcing the Left to meet basic standards of decency when protesting, and making the larger point that a Leftist committed this act, is absolutely critical.
Not to mention plain justice: the person who lit an American's hair on fire, just for celebrating the Inauguration of Donald J. Trump, is still free and unidentified.
That's sad.
