What a wonderful introduction to her new home...a birthday moose. Anyone that approaches a moose is a fool. Glad she has been taught that already. They can kick to the front.

The west edge of my neighborhood backs up to college property and lots of woods. Lots of moose in there...they can come east into the neighborhood or go west thru the woods coming out on campus. A couple years ago a group of folks got too close and the moose stomped a man to death. They can be very crabby and do not tolerate harassing.

I have warned them about keeping their distance. It is a pretty cool thing to see for the first time, though.

So far they seem to like it up there. My DIL would love to be warm again, but guess that’s a hint to my son to turn the thermostat up a bit! LOL! He always keeps it too cold in their house for this cold-natured person. :)
