Many of our readers ask about U.S. flag rules and regulations. On June 22, 1942, Congress passed a joint resolution, later amended on December 22, 1942, that encompassed what has come to be known as the U.S. Flag Code. Here are highlights: ....The flag should be displayed on all days, especially on New Years Day, January 1 Inauguration Day, January 20....

Will proudly raise one of my American flags the hour Mr. Trump takes the office and replaces the Kenyan.
That makes sense, Joe, but I decided to raise mine at dawn. Either way the message is conveyed.

This morning, I replaced my Gadsden flag with the Stars and Stripes (flown right side up for the first time in eight years).
I took the flag down 8 years ago. In the interim, we had to do some repair work on the front porch and I didn’t put the flag holder back up- didn’t think I’d need it again. Until Trump came along, I thought that the American people had abandoned the principles on which this country was founded. Guess I have some shopping to do.
So today I put away my beautiful patriot flags and put up my new (and most expensive I could buy) USA flag. On the white hem by the flagstaff I have written, "President Donald J Trump - January 20, 2017." The new flag goes up at the end of Trumps oath of office. And it has a dawn to dusk light on it.
Proudly I will fly OUR flag again, day and night. One nation, one flag.
Great plan, Ragnar. I’d like to see lots of flags waving on front porches today. We need to counteract the left’s plans to burn, trample, and fly upside down.
It's Morning in America, once again!
The sun is just over the horizon.
Thank you President Trump!!!!
God bless America.

in its original founding principles,
the only moral country in the history of the world.

I put mine out the day after the election.
It was odd to see since it was gone for so long.
It’s flying proudly in front of my house this morning.
Flag “RULES”? NO, Flags RULE!
Rules for flags are a bunch of bureaucratic BULLSHITE!
I fly my flag 24/7/365 except in a leap year, when I fly it 24/7/366.
It’s an all weather flag, and is PROUD to fly during calm and storms. It is lit 24/7, by the sun during the day and by the moon and the stars at night. Lit additionally by flood lights should anyone approach her at night.
My flag is large enough and prominently placed so that anyone driving, walking, or running by my house will certainly notice it.
To all of them this flag proclaims that the residents of this house are patriots and proud to be Americans. (Don’t even contemplate entering this property and disparaging MY country). We cling to our God, JESUS CHRIST, our guns at the ready with plenty of ammo to defend this country, TO THE DEATH, if necessary.
So don’t even try to tell ME how, where, or when, to fly MY flag!
This is not an attack on Upstate NY Guy, just taking the occasion of your post to vent my opinion. You, of course are entitled to yours. I realize you are trying to help those who might want to respect the flag according to “the” (so-called) “rules”. I respect this, but with my “opinion” I wanted to show that these (so-called) “rules” are unnecessary, pompous, and bogus, IMO.
Flying my flag proudly today, in celebration of the inauguration of the 45th President of the United States Donald J. Trump.
Making America GREAT again starts TODAY!!!!! THANK GOD!
