Almost two-thirds of federal employees voted for Hillary Clinton during the presidential election, according to a new survey.
The poll also found that six of 10 felt that the election itself gave Americans a negative impression of federal service.
So it may come as no surprise that some federal employees are considering leaving their employment when President-elect Donald Trump assumes office.
More than one in four federal workers, or 28 percent, will definitely or possibly consider leaving their jobs after Jan. 20 when Trump is sworn into office and becomes leader of the executive branch, according to the survey conducted by the Government Business Council and Government Executive, which both track the trends of the field.
Half said that Mr. Trumps business experience would hinder his management of the federal government while almost two thirds believe that his business relationships pose a conflict of interest. Both points are also popular narratives within the Democratic Party as well.

I retired from the FedGov 20 years ago. I had worked for the Defense Department for 33 years, plus four years of active duty military. My organization was composed of people who were anything but risk averse. My daughter is on her fourth deployment to Afghanistan as a civilian. I worked the African circuit for years. My late wife and I worked all over Latin America, culminating in a four-year in Havana, surrounded by Fidel’s goons. My people are globally deployed. You don’t want to can these folks.
They’re all going to try to hold onto their desks as the new management mixes things up. About 28% fear the new administration will purge their worthless butts.
I think talk is of a 20% cut in Federal government jobs, but I’ll believe it when I see it.
This is a nonsense article. Do not even pay any attention to it.
That perception gives you a window into the mind of the average liberal
They actually believe that a man who never held a job, who never oversaw the management of any enterprise - a man whose resume consisted of street agitator, rabble rouser, student of Marxism, part time state legislator, and freshman Senator - is somehow more qualified to hold the most powerful executive office on earth, than a man who has essentially been doing that job his entire adult life.
I swear, we're dealing with certified imbeciles here.
They all said they were going to flee the country, last year. What became of that? All these worthless drones are still here, stinking the place up...
Give up their pay for pron gig.. Not a chance ...
and 100% of the liberals who said they would leave if Trump won are still here...
How about Trump find out who that 28% is and make sure they leave their jobs.
PLEASE, LORD! LET IT BE!
Liars. Fake News.
I’ll bet most of them are of retirement age and this is another piece of fake news.
The statement “...28 percent, will definitely or possibly consider leaving their jobs...” is totally meaningless!!! More like a “Maybe, I’ll consider thinking about what might be about to happen if when something may perhaps indicate that, etc, etc.
The only way we’ll really know that the Swamp is being drained is when DC fast food restaurants start going out of business and real estate prices start plummeting.
If these things don’t happen, then the bureaucRATs still rule.
28% of federal employees are liars.
This is the best news. Hope they follow through on that.
I absolutely despise that phrase “federal service”. Most of these people are nothing but parasites. There is NO service involved. GAAAAAH!
I'm not sure what you mean by these statements. Could you explain?
Well .. I wouldn’t go that far.
Trump is already saying he’s going to propose a 20% cut in staffing.
