Ivanka Trump is going to be a huge deal in Washington. While a federal anti-nepotism law could prevent the 35-year-old from holding an official White House position after her father, Donald, assumes his role as the 45th president of the United States on January 20, unofficially, an Ivanka source reveals in the new issue of Us Weekly, she will be Donalds closest adviser.
Over the course of her fathers successful campaign, the husky-voiced Seventeen cover model turned Trump Organization executive evolved into his most trusted consultant. He looks to Ivanka for advice and consultation on almost everything, notes a close Ivanka insider.
That relationship will continue, as the real estate tycoon, 70, assumes his role as commander in chief. While brother Donald Jr., 39, and Eric, 33, remain in New York City to run the Trump business empire, Ivanka is moving to the nations capital, where her husband, Jared Kushner, 36, will act as one of Donalds senior advisers.
The mom of Arabella, 5, Joseph, 3, and Theodore, 9 months, could take a similar role. She announced January 11 that shes taking a leave of absence from both the Trump Organization and her eponymous apparel and accessories firm. Donald made the best deal for his daughter, family friend and Avenue magazine columnist R. Couri Hay tells Us. The boys get the multibillion-dollar company, and Ivanka gets Washington.
Along with providing advice, the University of Pennyslvania grad could act as her dads buffer. Insiders say the polished businesswoman has a knack for calming her father, infamous for his hot temper and middle-of-the-night Twitter rants. She balances him out, explains an Ivanka source. She learned to keep her mouth shut and just let him get it off his chest. She then rationally explains other points of view.

Im a huge advocate for women and womens issues, like child care, Ivanka, whose website IvankaTrump.com includes a series of profiles called #WomenWhoWork, told Harpers Bazaar in August. Shes already helped her dad craft a policy proposal that seeks to provide paid maternity leave and make child care expenses tax deductible. As she explains to the mag, In half the country, the cost of child care exceeds the cost of housing.
With stepmother Melania choosing to reside at the familys NYC triplex penthouse until half brother Barron, 10, finishes the school year, Ivanka will also assume some first-lady responsibilities. She will be at State functions, Hay tells Us. I think Melania is very happy to share those responsibilities with Ivanka.
Equating a physical impossibility with truly restoring our republic as it was meant to be is your prerogative.
I suspect the Founding Fathers had a different perspective.
You really believe income taxes will be rescinded?
I have a bridge for sale.
Stop with the sarcasm. I didn’t say I believed it. I said we need to think big, like DJT says, and shoot for high goals. Truly restoring the republic as it was meant to be is a high and worthy goal.
Now wait. You said you wanted to reduce taxes for everyone.
Parents are people too.
And you referred to something that would help parents as social engineering. That was just weird.
ROTFLOL
Actually, no, Trump chose wrong. He should have had his sons in DC advising him on policy and Jared and Ivanka up in NYC running the real estate businesses.
She’s already well past 30 so I’m afraid if the saying is true, only the Wizard of Oz can give her brains now
Reads like fake news to me.
LOL. I had the exact opposite experience: I took French for 4 years and got that jumbled up when I tried to learn Spanish!
That said, if you can “hear” one, you can mostly hear the other in my experience.
PS Then there are the tonal languages such as Japanese. Really struggle with those...
Do the words "natural born citizen" mean anything to you?
Do the words "natural born citizen" mean anything to you?
Your twisted misinterpretation, which looks deliberate to me, is pathetic.
Thanks.
Coming from you, that’s a high compliment.
Carry on with your delusions ...
Can’t tell you how much your permission means to me.
Here’s something for you to think about, while you’re sulking.
We have a nation where the bread-winners and working people who pay the nation’s bills, are having fewer and fewer children. One of the reasons is the amount of money it costs potential parents.
While illegals and lower income folks double or triple up families living in homes, and pop out little critters every year, our folks are burdened with high taxes and a massive penalty if they do have children.
This tax credit, is well worth it if the citizens start having more kids.
Are you aware that White kids are now the minority in many schools. I have read that in the K-12th grade, Whites are no longer half the populace. With the way race works in this nation, that is a very bad thing.
If people who pay the bills have more kids, the powers that be won’t be able to complain about the need for more foreigners. Our slice of the U.S. pie will not slip like it has been over the last two decades.
This isn’t some Communist plot. This will make a big difference.
I have talked about giving incentives to get solid citizens to have more children. In a round-about way, this may have that effect.
It’s worth a shot at it. We need to do something.
I'm opposed to tax credits of any kind ... I support a single-rate flat tax with no credits and no deductions, if we must have an income tax at all. I oppose the existence of an income tax.
And I very much oppose using the tax code for social engineering, regardless of who is doing it. And since you just admitted that Ivanka's (who is not a natural born citizen) tax credit is a form of social engineering, you've completely damned it in my eyes.
Thank you very much for that.
We need to do something.
Yes, we do. I suggest reducing the burden of government on EVERY citizen, not just those who are doing something that somebody happens to favor.
LOL
I agree with some of that, but you’re so eaten up inside over this that you make yourself very unhappy for nothing.
Trump is going to moving things in your direction.
Drop the amateur psychoanalysis ... you’re no good at it. Discuss the facts. Stick to the facts.
Because ValJar was really the one that was in charge the last 8 years.
I did discuss the facts while you proceeded to melt down.
Sorry about your case.
