Facebook insiders have told how Mark Zuckerberg quotes Greek legends to staff and 'wants to be emperor'. In the latest indicator that he may one day run for president, Vanity Fair quotes several friends of the CEO who say he is well suited to politics and has designs for a career beyond Silicon Valley.
They say the 32-year-old is naturally drawn to leadership, with the phrase 'he wants to be emperor' apparently 'common' among his peers.
'Hes been incredibly careful about cultivating a specific type of persona over the past few years,' said one friend, suggesting Zuckerberg's move into politics is in the works.
His fascination with Greek legend also seeps into his management style. Zuckerberg is said to have once recited lines from the movie Troy to a packed room of Facebook staff.
When new employees ask why they should join the company, he apparently urges staff to tell them: 'Because people will remember your name.'
While Zuckerberg has yet to make any statement suggesting he will run for office, friends said he would most likely make a bid in 2024 when he is 40. Earlier this year, Zuckerberg fuelled rumors he was plotting a political bid when he vowed to visit every state in the US.
Announcing his New Year's resolution on his Facebook page, he said: ' My personal challenge for 2017 is to have visited and met people in every state in the US by the end of the year.

That white skin thing is a real problem. There is NO PLACE for a white man at the head of the democrat party.
Emperor Norton was a lot easier to spell.
One Caligula in 2000 years is one too many.
We don’t need another.
But, what about a white woman? Not Hillary, of course, but a charismatic, attractive white woman?
Checks a lot of liberal boxes, and blacks are OK with white chicks, too.
“He will never run once he finds out hell have to divest himself of all interest in Facebook.”
Silly rabbit, Rules are only for people who dont have (D)s after their names
Theil wants to be governor of California, and Zuckerburg wants to be president.
Trump opened the door to these guys’ dreams!

Trump opened the door to these guys’ dreams!
Sure worked for the Clintoons and those 700 FBI files, so why wouldn’t he be stupid enough to try it?
People always say stuff like that once somebody from a minority group gets elected, but it doesn't bear out.
If there are enough candidates in the race, they divide the vote between them and somebody who can exploit the divisions comes out on top, even a White guy (Garcetti in LA, de Blasio in NYC, Emanuel in Chi).
That said, the candidate next time will probably be Black or a woman (or a Black woman) because the Democrat field looks so weak.
And then he said, "Some day I'm going to be Emperor!"
2024 because he figures Trump will be reelected?
The Snot Nosed SHJ who Would-Be EMPEROR
Laughable
No thanks, punk. You;ll need to grow up first.
Evidently so.
It does seem headed that way.

A white male, Jewish candidate has no chance with the Dem base. Their identity groups hate all three of those attributes. That’s the reason Bernie lost despite running against the wildly unpopular Hillary Clinton.
Interesting trend that Trump has started. However, I think Zuckerberg and his fellow billionaires are misreading the terrain. Trump didn’t win because he’s a billionaire. He won because he understood and communicated what the problems are and brought up workable solutions to them. He also didn’t back down to the establishment clowns on either side.
Trump’s wealth assisted in two ways: 1) he wasn’t beholden to behind-the-scenes types like most politicians, and 2) it provided a track record of success in accomplishing big, complex projects. Zuckerberg will lie down with those special interest behind-the-scenes folks solely due to his own ideology aligning with theirs. That will be a major, major hindrance to any desired campaign.
Just more Democrat DEATHwishful NONthinking. Hey, Zuck, go for it. Damn, the bumper sticker possibilities are ENDLESS!
More importantly, he has a social media site where he can pick and choose who to approach for funding and donations.
Yes, he's a lefty ... with a social media data base, the envy of all political parties
and can orchestrate his message specific to each individual group (ie: the greens, the anti-fur, anarchists, the Sanders radicals, the anti-petroleum, pro-immigrant, etc., etc..)
He’s a lefty...and I’m a little suspicious that FB over-estimates their number of unique users, to rip off advertisers. That may comeback to bite him as a politician.
