A Senate Republican is blasting President-elect Donald Trump's criticism of Rep. John Lewis (D-Ga.), praising the lawmaker for his leadership in the civil rights movement in the 1960s.
Sen. Ben Sasse (R-Neb.) on Saturday seized on Trump's characterization of Lewis as "All talk, talk, talk - no action," pointing out that his "talk" made a significant contribution in the civil rights movement.
"John Lewis and his 'talk' have changed the world," Sasse tweeted.

Sasse is wrong. That’s what John Lewis once was. Since then, he has become a hyperpartisan hack of a politician and has become, in many ways, exactly what he was once again - marginalizing and smearing people just because they are different (witness him attacking Jeff Sessions - someone he just in 2015 shared an emotional moment with at the anniversary of the Selma March) to push a partisan Democrat agenda. It is quite a shame.
Actually, all I can think about is a song from a 1939 BW/color movie that had a song in it that had lyrics like “.....if I only had a brain....”

He also studied at the University of Oxford during the fall of 1992 on a junior year abroad program.[5] He graduated from St. John’s College in 1998 with a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies and from Yale University with a Master of Arts degree (M.A.), Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D), all from the Department of History, in 2004. Sasse’s dissertation, The Anti-Madalyn Majority: Secular Left, Religious Right, and the Rise of Reagan’s America won the Theron Rockwell Field (best dissertation) and the George Washington Egleston (American history) Prizes.[5][7]
