Will President Obama pardon Hillary Clinton before he leaves office? A question curiously non-discussed in the media.
However, when you accept that CNNs broadcasted narratives, ie. the preferred positions of the U.S. Department of State, are generally good predictors of the political forecast, all signs point to yes.

First that means she probably would be found guilty of some of the criminal things she is accused of doing.
Second, that would spare our country the banana republic image of purging the previous regime.
Third it defangs the arguments that she won the popular vote because if the allegations had been properly pursued it would have likely made her totally ineligible to run at all.
Ford pardoned Nixon without a conviction.
I hope he does. You have to be guilty to require a pardon. Really guilty to require a presidential pardon. Go for it Barry!
I suggested he might try it. Do you think such an essay is beyond his abilities or sensibilities? No, I don’t think it would stand unless Trump were to turn out to be just another Republican but I would not be surprised if he made the attempt. The word I used is “try.” I even put it in bold on the reply to the reply. Try means attempt, it does not mean success. English is my first language and I understand the words I use.
Nobody likes hillary. I don’t think obama likes her enough to pardon her.
If he does pardon her, that kills any remaining chance of her ever running for any office again.
Not that the left cares.
But big difference was Ford was not a week short of leaving office.
And Nixons crimes were small in comparison to hillary.
Of course he will, if anyone ever doubted Barry will issue a Pardon for Hillary they have been living in dream land... not only will he issue it, he will claim he is only doing it to protect her from partisan witch hunts by republicans/trump... He will go out of his way to claim she never did anything wrong.
Well, you did say “try”, but I don’t think he would try. (”Trying is lying” they used to say at the reform school I worked at back in the day.) Anyway, the logistics involved in just freeing the black federal prisoners would seem to be pretty daunting. I know that restoring voting rights to Virginia’s felons took up a lot of the governor’s time and he was dealing with a couple of thousand. There are about 190,000 federal prisoners and approximately 40% of those are black, so we’d be talking tens of thousands of forms to fill out. Unless he’s been working on this for some time, I don’t think he can do it. And there are ten times as many state prisoners as federal. I do think he will let loose as many as he can. He seems to be in an “in-your-face” mood to America since the election—even more so than his previous 10 years.
Well, she is!
And he is!
It is my understanding that a conviction is absolutely unnecessary for obtaining a presidential pardon, however, the party in question reportedly must “apply”, or otherwise appeal, for a pardon directly or through an intermediary (legal counsel).
Have you heard this?
If this is even correct, probably this action has already been taken on the part of the Clintons. Since the clock is running, Obama has certainly been dragging his feet, or, the Clintoons have some reason to be unconcerned and have not pursued processing a request.
I would have thought Obama would have taken care of Clinton prior to his spotlight “Going Away” speech.
Otherwise, a last day Clinton pardon would appear to step on his good will sayonara and blow up his performance.
And Nixons crimes were small in comparison to hillary.
No one has established that Nixon had committed a crime. Fords pardon was for possible crimes Nixon had committed.
It is a precident for weasel wording by obummer.
Yes, meant to put Nixon’s “crimes” in quotation marks.
Nixon was pardoned without a conviction. Marc Rich was indicted but not conviction when Clinton pardoned him.
Thanks. M
However, my question was...do you happen to know if I am correct that reportedly no one is pardoned without first asking for a pardon.
Zero’s pardon would prove her guilt as well as his even more, IMO.
Oh hell yes she will get a pardon.
As will numerous other Obama admin officials.
I just hope they will overlook Lois Lerner, James Comey, Loretta Lynch, James Clapper, Eric Holder and John Brennen.
Oh, and the EPA lady.
Didn't stop Bubba, and the left still considers him a saint.
If she’s innocent, why a pardon? CNN and the like must have their doubts.
Can he pardon her?
