Ryan said on sanctuary cities, Donald and I agree completely on that. There is no daylight between us on that. so, what do I mean that? Sanctuary cities are a violation of the rule of law and they are not to be tolerated. We agree with that 100%. And that means if you want federal assistance, youre not going to get it. Youve got to enforce the law.
He added that Congress is working on two things: to secure the border, and to enforce our laws with respect to criminal violent criminals who are illegal aliens. Ryan: Sanctuary Cities Are a Violation of the Rule of Law, Youve Got to Enforce the Law to Get Federal Assistance
Ryan is a GOPe twit who loses 100 points for his pro-amnesty, anti-deportation positions.
And if you’re pro-amnesty and anti-deportation, sanctuary cities don’t really matter anyway.
nyc is a sanctuary city
Quite possibly his sinister intent is to make this part of “comprehensive” immigration reform, but if passed by itself, there’s nothing wrong with this proposal.
It is about the definition of “is”. Ryan is fine talking about a subset of illegal aliens. He is really suggesting amnesty to 10s of millions of illegal aliens. Anyone in the US illegally is here illegally and should be deported. Any city or state protecting them is violating the law. Limiting this to “criminal” illegal aliens is meaningless distinction as they are all criminal and this is simply a backdoor to AMNESTY.
Indict every local government principal that conspires to do this, stop ALL government funding associated with the city until the practice stops, and demand every illegal they are protecting be identified and compared against historical criminal and immigration data. No negotiations.
Yep...
Imagine that, Paul Ryan found his spine.
Yes. Liberals think that, even though we won the Presidency, both houses of Congress and most of everything else, they STILL get to rule their little kingdoms within our country as they see fit.
Not a damned thing needs to be passed.
To block Trump from removing the illegals Ryan would have to both ram an amnesty bill through and then subsequently override a presidential veto.
Yup. No one disputes that fact. There are supposedly arbout 300 sanctuary cities in the US.
It's easy to look like you have a spine when Trump is holding you up by the nape of your neck.
Trump seems to have been busy giving spine implants lately.
It’s a surprise coming from HIM... I hope he understands which side his bread is buttered on.
And the executive branch is the enforcement of laws branch.
and to enforce our laws with respect to criminal violent criminals who are illegal aliens.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We must not be satisfied with only deporting those already convicted of crimes committed here.
ALL illegal aliens MUST commit crimes to further their illegal presence from document fraud and stealing benefits to illegal employment.
Just because they haven’t driven drunk and killed an American YET, is no reason not to deport ALL illegal aliens.
Ryan is being clever here, of course it is true that sanctuary cities are in violation of the law and of course criminal illegal aliens must be deported, but we should not wait until they kill or harm Americans to deport the rest of them.
Laws already exist. They need to finally be enforced.
No he didn’t. This is boob bait for Bubba. He thinks if he acts like he’s tough on the illegal aliens who have already been caught and convicted of crimes we’ll go along with amnesty for the rest.
