Texas Senator and former presidential candidate Ted Cruz ripped the mask off an ACLU attorney pretending to be strictly nonpartisan on Day 2 of Jeff Sessions confirmation hearings to be the nations next attorney general.
David Cole, a Georgetown University law professor and national legal director at the ALCU, a communist front group, was trying to desperately smear Jeff Sessions as a racist and Ted Cruz cut him up with a butter knife, asking him why he omitted key facts from his argument that would have invalidated his argument if he were truly strictly nonpartisan.

LOL
He pushed them last fall. He pushed one too many when he refused to do his utmost to prevent Hillary Clinton from continuing Obama’s policies.
Mine isn’t
Mine is based on Cruz’s actions over the past year or so.
And that and of the ‘my way or the highway’ words of his followers here on FR beginning in early 2015.
Christian? bah, talk to them about Christian.
This time last year, January, 2016 I was thinking Ted Cruz was some kind of Mr. Conservative All Star & all that, while Trump was some kind of carnival sideshow barker and blowhard.
Then through 2016, like all of us, I got to know them.
Cruz should be hitting on all eight now as a senator, after his disgraceful last several months performance as a candidate. And Trump really is, as his ex Ivana called him, The Donald.
I’m further convinced that if we hadn’t dodged the Cruz missile, we would be facing another Bush administration with a coterie of cucks, neos and assorted other cheap labor stooges. Or worse, `President Clinton’.
Keep up the good work, Ted. Right where you are.
As a BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN....
I DO NOT BELIEVE THAT CRUZ IS ONE....he’s lied too many times
and you obviously haven’t been paying attention....is your name GLENN BECK?
Just because he does something positive, well a stopped clock is correct twice a day.
I appreciate your comments and I think they are reasoned.
When I look back on Tead, I can point to times when he made great comments in the past. Did he follow through on all of them? Not really.
Then when the nation needed his help most, MIA.
Hillary would have continued Obama’s policies and built upon them. She would most likely have gotten between 2 and 4 SCOTUS appointees in her first term alone.
Ted knew that. He didn’t really care.
Imagine our military, the racism against Whites, the Universities, abortion..., I can’t mention all the bad policy that would have come our way.
The SCOTUS alone would have tilted the nation to the Left for 20 - 40 years.
That is like driving a stake through the heart of Conservatism. Why do I have to explain this to people who should know it already?
I’m not ragging on you, because it’s only natural to want to see someone do things like Tead is right now. The problem is, we can’t trust the guy any farther than we can drop kick him.
In coming years, I don’t want folks enamored with him as if he didn’t betray Conservatism and more importantly the nation last fall.
Again, I do understand where you are coming from here.
You need to get over yourself, you and your Cruz haters are acting like jackasses, name one thing that Ted lied about, I thought so
Lol hero worship really? Now that right there is a full throated 7 full belly laugh
Indeed. Cruz is a good man, and he’s helping us fight the bad guys. The name-calling is a poor substitute for reasoned discourse among brothers and sisters in common cause. It is a complete waste of time and energy to endlessly stir animosity against people who are helping us. It is self-destructive behavior. I suspect it does serve some sort of purpose or it wouldn’t be so common. I was going to say maybe it helps the various ‘teams’ remember their identities. But if so it is a shallow memory. Most folks I talk to have no idea what it was Ted supposedly lied about. Much easier just to remember the label. Three cheers for the tribe.
Peace,
SR
Great post and very true, some people can’t get over the fact that Cruz is on our side....
Who are you to call into question a mans Christianity!? Not your role nor function.
He without sin cast the first stone. And it’s a wonder why I still remain absent from organized religion
You don’t have a argument from what I have seen
Continue to think that.
Folks know what Tead did, and it’s going to haunt him the rest of his life.
When the time came, the big talker couldn’t work up the gumption to fight against a Clinton presidency.
If you think that isn’t a powerful argument, why should I care what you think.
Post his lies then and let us all take a look at it.
I already know he didn’t lie about anything, you are easily manipulated and led. He is doing a great job defending Trumps nominees and you can’t stand it because you or to hard headed.
Ignore him.
Once again, you’re free to think what you like.
There are a number of examples of him lying.
He stated that the only reason he supported the increase of H1-B Visas was because he was using that for leverage to prevent other legislation from passing.
Two years later he had to suspend his support for that same Visa increase during mid campaign.
I can’t stand it because of what Ted was willing to stand by and allow last fall. It was terrible, and you don’t care at all.
You don’t get it, but I’m supposed to be the bad guy for reminding you.
Why should I have to?
We won’t, and given your idiotic assessment of Cruz, you have no business trying to tell us what to do.
Well, it does give me a chance to explain my position.
Thanks for the mention.
I think anyone who thinks they can pull the wool over Cruz’s eyes has to have a serious deficiency in gray matter
