Texas Senator and former presidential candidate Ted Cruz ripped the mask off an ACLU attorney pretending to be strictly nonpartisan on Day 2 of Jeff Sessions confirmation hearings to be the nations next attorney general.
David Cole, a Georgetown University law professor and national legal director at the ALCU, a communist front group, was trying to desperately smear Jeff Sessions as a racist and Ted Cruz cut him up with a butter knife, asking him why he omitted key facts from his argument that would have invalidated his argument if he were truly strictly nonpartisan.

if only all republicans adopted this kind of mindset dealing with opponents.
alas it requires balls, spines, and unwavering convictions.
Looks like Cruz did a good job here.

This clickbait page has a pop-up that causes everything to freeze. Why not find this clip on YouTube and post the link directly to YouTube?
Why is this freak even testifying?
Who does his organization represent other then the CPUSA?
I hated Cruz’s behavior when running for prez but we need him in the senate or on the supreme court.
Uwavering convictions:
Now means sitting out all but 1.1 days during the 100 days before the election.
Just exactly what convictions was Tead exhibiting during that time?
If Trump had won 30 more electoral votes with the runner-up’s support, it would have made it a lot easier to pass Trump’s agenda. The case of a mandate would have been a lot more realistic.
Tead took a pass on doing the most he could to prevent Hillary Clinton getting to appoint 2-4 SCOTUS justices, and flip the U.S. for the 20-40 years.
Now he is championed here.
Well..., it’s lost on me an most clear thinking Conservatives.
How much grandstanding would Curz have been doing, if Hillary had squeaked in? Absolutely none!
Yup. But that would make sense.
Not again. Enough with the Lyn’ Ted news. He ain’t working. At the core he’s still a lying traitor. And a Natural Born Canadian at that. Nothing against Canadians, just their wayward creep Lyn’ Ted.
i am not excusing the crap he pulled.
i am describing what he did in this instance to be able to face down an opponent.
How about a rule requiring that?
I apologize for not more clearly focusing on a certain segment rather than you for the comment. I was thinking far beyond you and didn’t express it that way.
Frankly, I heard one clip that was brilliant.
What am I supposed to do with that? Ted talks a good game, but when votes come up and battles are fought, he’s often missing in action.
I know others don’t see it that way, but that is exactly how I see it.
Imagine the tone around here if Tead had won the nomination, and Trump refused to say his name for all but a day or two before the election.
I’d have been jumping up and down on Trump’s head if he had pulled that routine.
True Ted has a lot to answer for but he has been very good in these hearings. He absolutely evicerated the Rats hypocrisy 2 days ago.

So? A murderer might somehow do something ‘right’ but does that excuse his past? Lyn’ Ted is still a losing liar and traitor.
So? Would you rather that he NOT expose the lies and hypocrisy?
Cruz and his hanging-on supporters will NEVER be championed by me.
The man is a liar, a cheater and he’s mentally ill. Texas should dump this jerk.
I don’t know If I’m reading the situation correctly, but no one is asking anything to be forgiven or anyone to be championed. All I’m seeing is that Cruz exposed the ACLU jerk. Do what you wish with it.
It’s almost as if you and some others would prefer this ACLU guy would get away with saying he was nonpartisan.
As a guy I wanted to be Trump’s V.P., an appointee to the SCOTUS, or both, I agree with you.
It took from June to October of 2015 for me to transition from wanting Cruz to not really wanting him for anything.
Folks say Hillary is in the position she is because of her own actions, not Russian actions.
That’s almost exactly the way I think of Tead.
