I agree. When I wrote my master's thesis, the advisor didn't want me to put any original thoughts in it. It became a collection of quotes from others. As long as you make the proper attributions it's acceptable.

Exactly....Our local historians screwed up their own Town history embellishing the truth. Over the last 25 years, I've learned to separate the embellishments from the facts.

People don't realize they are so patterned when they write.

I think it also has something to do with being a mother and looking your kid in the eye.
