In a story that is getting more surreal by the minute, a post on 4Chan now claims that the infamous "golden showers" scene in the unverified 35-page dossier, allegedly compiled by a British intelligence officer, was a hoax and fabricated by a member of the chatboard as "fanfiction", then sent to Rick Wilson, who proceeded to send it to the CIA, which then put it in their official classified intelligence report on the election.

okay that could be the case too. the anon 4chan guy last night on twitter said he sent it out to A LOT of people to see if they’d bite. But the 4chan poster loved trolling Wilson in particular looking at an older tweet that he made before this story broke. Making fun of Wilson’s son and his sexual fetish which apparently is getting pissed on. Wilson had blocked him.
Part or all of the report was faked by 4Chan user and directed to never Trumper Rick Wilson. He fell for it and apparently gave it to CIA who also fell for it and included it in their report.
New Spin is that the CIA merely included it as examples of the types of stuff that was being peddled to try and compromise Trump.
The claims I read on twitter was that CIA, CNN, Wilson, and McCain all got punked. Further more this info had been floating around the gossip groups in DC for months, and most news outlets had refused to do anything with it because it had such outlandish and unbelievable claims and zero proof.
The alleged inclusion by the CIA, and their leak that Trump had been briefed gave CNN an excuse to report on it in a cleverly worded disinformation report. Careful not to tell what was actually there and giving the impression that the info could be really damaging.
They noted that it had been known for a while, but never mentioned before. However, their intelligence sources had told them that it was Opposition research hired by GOPe and DNC and came from a former MI6 agent was deemed a credible source.
So again we had unnamed Intelligence sources with a high degree of confidence meme. What CNN did was worse than what Buzzfeed did. Buzzfeed noted that the fantastic claims were likely not true, even though they printed the whole thing of outlandish garbage.
CNN gave the impression that there was real damaging stuff, that they were waiting until IC could verify before they would tell specifics. Carefully worded so that they could avoid libel/slander laws. Shades of Dan Rather - even used the terms: seriousness of the charges IIRC.
If someone wanted to do a spoof on spies and news, they couldn’t make stuff like this up - it defies the imagination. LOL
Don’t ask me anything about that - I had to google to find out what in the heck they were talking about. My face was red for at least 24 hrs.
And the 4chan anon’s twitter account he had his location the UK. Twitter account was only a couple months old. Apparently he’s had twitter accounts shutdown before because...well...he trolls people like Wilson.
Thinking about it more, since the 4chan troll’s twitter has his location as the UK, he probably sent it to Wilson pretending he was some UK former spy. LOL
Funny part about that is that the 4chan guy on the Jeff Kuhner radio show actually stated that some of the “fanfiction” was written by Rick Wilson’s son. That just reconfirms for me that the 4chn caller was legit. In the segment I caught on the car radio while driving there was no mention of a British spy. The caller did say things got added and the story got embellished.
I didn’t recognize the name and didn’t get the idea that he was a top operative exactly, he apparently made some sexually disparaging remark about trump supporters.
That was another reason that the prankster and his fellow chatters couldn’t believe he took the bait - should have been obvious they thought.
To be honest, I don’t know much about that site, I only clicked a link to see what the rest of the chatters had to say and see what the site looked like. First and last time to visit I think.
I had the same thought last night. I think I read lord McCain sent a representative to the UK to pick up this 'report'. That took some 'scheduling' and who did lord McCain send?
That’s almost plausible. The other thing to keep in mind is that it was “several” 4chan users who put the piece of fiction together.
That’s a good point. I wasn’t sure where the MI6 got added in.
Well, Trump really did set it up to show that IC was leaking, because he told no one about the meeting.
A couple of 'articles' I found on him, he is noted as being a 'top' Republican mouthpiece... I think he was the source for Ted Cruz calling Trump supporters 'low information' voters... because one article quoted Rick Wilson as calling Trump supporters 'low information'... He was anti-Trump from the beginning.. What I cannot find, which politician hired him.
What we need to realize is that a fake story about our Pres elect became embedded in a dossier kept by our “intelligence” agencies, aided and abetted by John McCain who provided them with the false information. And then made its way into print!
this is a good recap.

“Someone help me here. A 4chan user faked the docs under the guise of a mI6er or a MI6er forged or fell for it?”
Exactly
Well, whatever he was doing in the primaries, he’s not all that top, because he wasn’t on any national news programs that I ever saw. I suppose it is possible that he was a volunteer for some Republican somewhere or other.
The so called report was supposedly given to Rick Wilson first. Then it appears as if a 'conspiracy' was hatched to give the report 'credibility'... across the pond. WHO did lord McCain send to fetch this 'report'?
Senator John McCain, a hawkish Republican, was there and was introduced to a former senior western diplomat who had seen the documents, knew their source and thought him highly reliable. McCain decided the implications were sufficiently alarming to dispatch a trusted emissary, a former US official, to meet the source and find out more.
Where is 'was there'? Who is the former 'senior' western diplomat? And who is this 'trusted emissary'?
