During a discussion of BuzzFeed’s story on a dossier regarding Russia and President-Elect Donald Trump on Wednesday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “MTP Daily,” host Chuck Todd told BuzzFeed Editor-in-Chief Ben Smith “you just published fake news.”
Todd said BuzzFeed’s decision to publish the dossier was an instance where they “would not have made the same decision in the pre-Trump era.”
Smith stated that it was more “the pre-Internet era.” And that there was a time “where we could act as gatekeepers. Where we could say, you know what, crazy people are claiming that Barack Obama’s birth certificate is forged, but we’re not going to write about that, that’s crazy.”
He continued that this era doesn’t exist, and that while they had reporters trying to confirm or deny specific details, the dossier was “in play,” and “having consequences for the way our elected leaders are acting. The — you do have to ask the question of, why should I suppress that? There are then good reasons, right? Once though, it emerges, as it did last night in the public conversation that there is this secret document floating around, full of dark allegations that we will not repeat to you. That I feel like in this era, you really have to share [with] your readers what that is in an appropriate context. And our original report, I mean, if you read what we wrote, it stressed that there were real solid reasons to distrust this. It noted two specific errors.”
Todd then asked if BuzzFeed had a responsibility to not spread false information. Smith responded that, like with the Obama birth certificate issue, it’s a “difficult balance that everybody in our business navigates every day.”

Why should you suppress all the evidence and rumors of Barack Obama being a Homosexual who patronized "Man's Country" in Chicago?
I mean, after all, if the rumors are "out there", and the story is in play, why should you suppress that?

Growing up in the South I used hear the town gossip say “Oh, the things I could tell you about her.’. Mainstream media is nothing but a bunch of gossiping old women..
Now suddenly there is interest in comparing this smear of Trump with Obama’s birth certificate. The difference with Obama’s fake certificate of live birth it is that it has been certified as a forgery by three separate document experts. There are nine separate points of forgery, and this cannot be disputed. Media also had zero interest over the years of why Obama’s selective service stamp only contains two digits (80, not 1980) unlike the hundreds of thousands of others that are catalogued. The reason of course is that they used a stamp from 2008 and just inverted the two digits to make it look like it was stand 1980. Obama’s selective service card is the only one in history to have only two digits. The media also had no interest in determining why Obama had a Social Security number from Connecticut. They are trying to draw a moral equivalence between Obama’s forged her certificate and the smear on Trump. They are apples and oranges. Obama’s birth certificate is a forgery, and the smear Trump is a complete fabrication.
He’s just making more fake news, claiming the BC was real. I’m an electrical engineer and computer programmer with 20 years experience with printing. The BC is a fake. Take it to the bank. This Journalist is a hack.

Yep, I inspected the WH-supplied PDF document myself.
It wasn’t just a fake, it was a screaming fake that announced to the world that it was a blatant forgery, what with the layers and image parts left on the clipboard.
It was meant to deliver a message: “it doesn’t matter what the truth is if the media doesn’t report on it.”
Oh, how times change. It is amusing that they use the BC as the example of too crazy to touch.
Let’s just say, “falsely issued”.
They need to tell us the truth: they were TOLD not to report on Obama’s documentation problem or his Muslim leanings, because those issues would have revealed who Obama is and who owns him, and the propaganda ministry is to hide the truth so that Obama and his owners can destroy the country.
The story they made up about Obama was that he has a Hawaii birth certificate, when in fact Alvin Onaka refused to put his seal to any verification of Obama having a valid HI birth certificate. On three different supposed “verifications” the seal that was used was FUDDY’s seal, which is larger than the registrar’s seal, has a different design, and uses solid lines rather than dashes. Fuddy’s seal (the official seal of the HDOH) is to be used for verifying documents and is ALWAYS to be embossed near the director’s signature. Three supposed “verifications” had that seal but NONE of them had Fuddy’s signature so the seal was used illegally. Why? Because registrar Onaka refused to put his own seal to certify his signature stamp, and Fuddy wanted to hide that fact so she put her own seal as cover so that the media and SOS’s could pretend that they were given a certified verification, when in fact what they received was Onaka’s refusal to verify that Obama has a valid HI BC. The only lawful reason for him to refuse to issue a verification is if he CAN’T because there is no valid BC in HI.
And when the full story about Fuddy is known people will be shell-shocked. Except ABC. They know all about it, because they helped do the cover-up. Like all the media did the cover-up for Obama’s documentation problems.
As long as the media is still claiming Obama has no documentation problem, they are continuing in the same fake garbage they’ve been dealing all along. They are not repentant. They haven’t learned a thing. They are still pissing on us and calling it rain, while insisting that we are idiot, hate-mongering “conspiracy theorists” because we STILL know the truth and that they are lying to us.
As long as that persists we need to keep exposing them.
Hmmmm.. lots of info there I never heard before. And wasn’t it Fuddy that died in a plane crash...the ONLY one to die in that crash, even though she was not dead when they got to her?
