Hope I didn’t miss rbg81’s point, but I agree with you entropy12.
I’m comfortable with things as they are, so luggage should be okay for weapons in the cargo hold, since anyone can enter the luggage claim area with concealed carry.
Prior to the checkpoints on the other end, I don’t think things need to change. I could be persuaded that anyone entering a terminal building should have to be checked first.
That isn’t a top priority for me now. I suppose it could become one. After an incident on the other end, perhaps that could too, and that would compromise the inclusion of guns in luggage.
Sadly, the way things are now with terrorism, I would as well go along with metal detectors for entering all crowded areas such as airports, malls, court buildings etc.
I think entropy12 is saying the same thing as me. People can carry guns into any unsecured area. So how the guns get into that unsecured area is almost irrelevant.
I also do not support guns in carry-on bags, unless its carried by LE (of course).
Then I and THOUSANDS of other peaceably armed Americans will simply stop flying commercial.
