Maybe it is fitting that outgoing President Barack Obama chose to give his farewell speech today in Chicago -- America's Aleppo.
Despite all the killing and chaos taking place there, at least the Russians aren''t bombing the place -- at least not yet -- but are only hacking around.
But like fellow Aleppo citizens in Syria, who are killing one another in a long and bloody civil war, so too are Chicago gangbangers murdering fellow Americans in a series of Chicago civil wars.

Violence against police offices has spiked, race relations are worse than they’ve been in decades, parts of the big cities are war zones, the federal deficit is like a 20 ton anvil hovering over us, the culture has been debased almost beyond recognition, and the rest of the world spits at us.

He has already made so many farewell speeches... this is the longest goodbye I have ever seen.
I just wish there was a way to disrupt it; flicker the lights, then cut the AV feed so only every other word is heard, turn the teleprompter on and off, cause massive feedback and static, etc..

If only it was his farewell speech..... it will be another speech listing all his glorious accomplishments in case we might have let one go unnoticed. And it will also be a speech that won’t be watched by me like all the others for the last 8 years. Only ‘speech’ that I watched in the entire 8 years was the one on a Sunday evening when he had just gotten back from killing Bin Laden.
