Has anyone looked to see if the FBI's original story has changed anymore regarding their initial encounter and intake with Santiago on Nov. 7th ... Have statements been forthcoming from those who actually knew him, such as his mother, his employer or his girlfriend ...

Three days later, authorities have yet to release the name of one of his five deceased victims.... The other four deceased victims were vacationing travelers. How does the fifth victim differ? Three of his shooting victims are still struggling in ICU and three more still hospitalized. There needs to be more answers coming from Alaska.

Curious as to what led Santiago to think that he might have a chance of being released on bond this morning. It's a very odd thing for him to have said, given that his criminal actions typically results in a federal death penalty charge. He did not save a bullet for himself and he calmly waited for arrest, that's unique as well. It's hard to imagine that he naturally acted that way after just being inspired to massacre a room full of Ft. Lauderdale travelers.

Go for the death penalty.

If he were truly crazy, then he wouldn’t have given up without a fight.

Maybe he got a call from Bath House, notifying him of his impending pardon.

Weeks or months ago, this guy walked into an FBI Office and sat down and explained that he thought he was being recruited by ISIS or some such bizarre story. They had the ability to see he was ex-military (or NG, but had served in theater) There is no excuse why he shouldn’t have been on a no fly list. None. I am frankly pissed off that experienced agents aren’t somehow given more liberty to utilize their spidey sense in some of these cases. Just like the guys who wanted to fly 747’s pre-9/11/01 but didn’t care about landing them. Just like Nidal, the army-base killer who has STILL not been brought to trial and who is STILL collecting military pay.

This will be unpopular on this site, but I’ll say it anyways. I think he should be locked up for life, but I don’t think he should get the death penalty. I do believe in mitigating circumstances and it sounds to me like this guy is not faking PTSD. It sounds to me like he is mentally unbalanced because of PTSD.

I can only say that combat affects everyone differently even when they go through the same experiences. I will be looking forward to seeing what the military did to try to get this guy the help he needed. It’s easy to say that’s what his family and friends are for. However, no one can force an adult into treatment or a hospital unless they actually do something criminal.

Let’s remember Nissan, because of political correctness, everyone in his chain of command papered over the obvious warning signs this guy was displaying. Did something similar happen here? I don’t know. When Santiago was in the military, he could have been forced to get treatment or something could have been done. I’m withholding judgement until we find out more info.

If he were truly crazy, then he wouldn’t have given up without a fight.

Not only that but there was a lot of calculation or forethought that went into his action. He is not crazy by any stretch of the imagination.

Domestic assault police visits to the home, a related restraining order earlier in the year and statements claiming he had Isis related thoughts of terrorism and was being forced by the government to participate...

Obviously someone wanted him to have access to his weapon.
But he fails to save a bullet for himself and awaits arrest like a zombie.

He has another handler, as others here have openly said.

That’s the thing: this guy has a rap sheet, 10 incidences in 2 years including two domestic disturbances (strangling girlfriend) on top of being institutionalized after turning himself into the FBI but isn’t on no-fly and has full RKBA (well, not anymore). How did he slip through the cracks repeatedly?

Give him a free sex-change operation, put him in general population (men’s prison) for a few years, then execute him.

It remains to be seen if Santiago is reported to have had combat experiences. He may have entered the fbi field office with a legit issue and was handled.

Now he failed to complete his mission as programmed. Or not.

I believe that this filth along with other mass shootings that have occurred under Obama’s nightmare, are the a result of dark and nefarious workings by the power elite to create chaos, incite violence and use as an attempt to confiscate guns from Americans. The CIA, NSA, FBI, ATF, and other alphabet agencies have already shown that they are capable of doing illegal, unconstitutional, unethical and incompetent actions. Sadly, few things surprise me anymore.

Almost all news agencies have run the guy is mentally ill and it was unplanned and random. But Santiago-Ruiz states he planned it. S0eter0 will say it was a lone wolf or say white people are just evil hijacking the religion of peace.
