A bunch of them criticized Trump. But it would take a lot more than that to ‘eviscerate’ him.

All of us in this room really belong to the most vilified segments in American society right now.
How many of you have been tortured live on Facebook?

A fairly well known individual in entertainment circles told me last night that I didn't know what I was talking about when I said that there was a disconnect between Hollywood and the rest of America. This person defended celebrities, arguing that they have to deal with people all the time and have to travel and so of course this makes them more knowledgeable and understanding of the real world than regular non-celebrities.
There is no rationalizing with someone like that.

Good word.
Its fun watching the left “eviscerate” themselves.:)
All they have is childish name calling and fake news.
Which is worthless because, well, its fake.
At least half of them should be in a mental health facility for some extensive O & E.

This is such an important story. Glad that the media is focused on the Trump versus Streep/Fallon battle of wits. Clash of titans.

The sad reality is that a significant percentage of the population worships these celluloid celebrities and take what they say seriously. If Trump does nothing else but destroys the influence of those who make their living pretending to be other people, he will leave the country better than he found it. Top three targets, Meryl Streep, Jimmy Fallon and Samuel Jackson. Take a page from Obama and use the IRS to hound the liberal Hollywood producers. Fight back effectively. Make them howl for real.

Hugh Laurie, accepting his award for best supporting actor in “The Night Manager,” also indulged in Trump jokes, speculating that this would perhaps be the last Golden Globes ceremony.
“I don’t mean to be gloomy, but it has the words ‘Hollywood,’ ‘foreign’ and ‘press’ in the title,” Laurie said, explaining his pessimism about the awards surviving the Trump era. He added that some Republicans don’t even like the word “association.”
He accepted his award “on behalf of psychopathic billionaires everywhere.”

All of us in this room really belong to the most vilified segments in American society right now, said Meryl Streep, who was awarded the Cecil B. DeMille Award, the Globes lifetime achievement award, in her acceptance speech. Think about it. Hollywood, foreigners, and the press.
So Hollywood is crawling with outsiders and foreigners and if we kick them all out youll have nothing to watch but football and mixed martial arts, which are not the arts.
She actually said this? This reads like a parody of the self-important celebrity.

It is my opinion, based on experience, that actors are seriously mentally I’ll.

Who is Trump kicking out again? The problem with Ms. Streep and the rest of Hollywood is they fail to distinguish between those who are here LEGALLY and those who are here ILLEGALY.

I wouldn't want Trump to use the IRS as a weapon. I'd rather he eliminate the IRS to be honest. When it comes to celebrities, I like the use of his verbal killshots (e.g., "overrated actress"). These people get far too much respect. Trump should continue to do the opposite.
