Surprised Monica has not defended herself and surprised she would ever write anything without footnotes and sources. Why is it that sometimes really intelligent individuals are so irresponsible doing common tasks?
Nevertheless, Kas, the article rightly points out that Monica Crowley is smart and she is certainly not being appointed by Trump’s team to write books or term papers.

If she has a plagiarism problem as this and other reports detail, then she has and is a problem. Hopefully she’ll come clean and, if true, resign to avoid any taint upon Trump’s administration. Maybe Fox will hire her back, else join the women at MSNBC? (okay, maybe a little /s on the latter.)

It is hard to believe — with internet searching, it is impossible to get away with plagiarism. Who would try? It makes me suspicious. I’m waiting for more analysis before I believe anything...

Any Trump choice that has published anything at all will “outed” for claimed plagiarism. I hope Trump simply ignores it all or snorts “political hit” and continues on with the appointments. IOf they get Crowley with this they will go at ALL his appointments with the same charges.

I guess I don’t get this... I’m an educated old man and most of the repertoire I spout off is not original. I started early in life when my parents and older siblings taught me to talk. Even the ABC’s weren’t even my original construct.
I’ve followed her during and since the plagiarism episode, mostly through her appearances on the John Batchelor Show. Interestingly, Batchelor doesn’t have her on when members of the WSJ editorial board are guests, otherwise, she has been pro-Trump and very prescient. I wish her well. She screwed up, admitted it, and has fought to regain respectability.
