No snow since last week. Still cold here - 29 now and only supposed to get to 35 today. Looks like it will start warming up with rain early next week. I always say you can tell who the Seattle natives are - when it’s too cold in the winter or too hot in the summer, we say, I wish it would rain, so it would warm up or cool down as the case may be.
Portland, OR is basically just over the Columbia River from Vancouver, WA. Heard on the radio that a flight from Chicago (I suspect among many others) had to be diverted to Seattle day before yesterday and passengers had to spend the night in the Seattle area b/c of snow in Portland.
Especially “Admirals’ Island” (Coronado) where I worked.
Lots of retired military in Chula Vista, where we lived. Consistently mildest climate in the nation - balmy breezes from the bay. Ahhhh...

I have never been there but everyone who has visited or lives there just goes on and on about how great it is.
Now affordable? Guess it depends on how well heeled you are. I guess I could afford a post office box, but that is about all@

San Diego is probably the most conservative of the large southern CA coastal cities. Duncan Hunter represents the 50th district (inland). But coastal and south SD are liberal bastions......
