Far rightwing figureheads immediately invented an elaborate and racist conspiracy theory that CNN had lightened a photo of alleged Fort Lauderdale airport shooter Esteban Santiago shortly after the Friday attack. In reality, CNN had yet to air a picture of Santiago, let alone lightened a picture of him. The conspiracy also used a picture of an entirely different man named Esteban Santiago—not the alleged shooter. Still, writers at websites like InfoWars and Gateway Pundit tweeted about CNN’s nonexistent Photoshop job. Former Republican Florida Congressman Allen West, who represented Fort Lauderdale itself, even tweeted about the conspiracy and linked to an article about it on his own website.

I noticed very early on they tried to paint the narrative the shooter had mental problems starting with the tour in Iraq. However, it came out that he had no PTSD. The girlfriend was alleged to say he was receiving treatment because he had mental problems. This is the narrative they are now using for “radical islam” (radical islam is in quotes because there is no such thing as “radical islame” just as there is no such thing as a moderate mooslime). Whether or not this guy had mental problems the fact is they covered the aspect of his roots of Islime with the mental illness narrative early on in the reporting.
This is not be passed off as simply a mistake. It's critical we not do what our enimies do. We have to be beyond reproach.
Even Drudge has been dragged down because of GP's faulty reports. I am advocating that he starts now making credibility something he never sacrifices for expediency, carelessness, or any other reason.
As for now there is no reason to go the site if is frequently unreliable. I hope he will do better.

As for Jim Hoft at Gateway Pundit. He always links his proof. The Gateway Pundit has a lot of great articles. Ditto Info-Wars.

I stopped clicked my on that stupid website when they began posting those idiotic stories late in the 2016 campaign about “inside sources” in the NYPD claiming that a bunch of arrest warrants were about to be issued in the Anthony Weiner case. All of the “sources” were other clickbait sites that all linked back to the same single Twitter post from some dope who had no evidence to support his claim.
Duh. Of course CNN was used, because they most often screw up things and slant things.

Okay obviously you did not get the memo that Alexa has been pushing down all conservative web sites. They have been paid off in other words...... They use to be credible until they became political.
The “Gold Standard” for measuring web traffic is Quant-cast and Google Analytics. There numbers show the true web traffic unlike Alexa that has become political manipulated. Gee imagine that? Quant-Cast and Google Analytics are very similar in numbers. Alexa is too with the exception, of all conservative web sites, that changed back in 2014. When Alexa did this ALL CONSERVATIVE SITES on the same day when down and have been down since.

I am well aware of who The Daily Beast and CNN are. Gateway Pundit's and Infowar's carelessness (didn't even check the CNN site to see if it was there) handed this story to the enemy and gave them an excuse to make us look foolish.
Please don't perpetuate their stereotype of conservatives by missing my point by a country mile.
