"It's a combination. There's no question a lot of them are retirees," Boockvar said. "No one wants to say, 'I want to get fired and sit on my butt.' But when people do lose their jobs, they're not being incentivized enough to go back to work compared to the benefits they get by not being at work."

He will take the local check to your bank and cash it so there is no record of the transaction. Sidebar note to the conversation: this doesn't work anymore, from an 'anonymous' perspective. All transactions at the bank record identifying personal information (name, SSN, address, etc), it's called Know Your Customer, and includes persons who do not have an account at the financial institution.

If I cash a check at your bank the bank doesn’t send in a Form 1099 reporting it as income

Obama doubled the number of people on The Disability. All my friends on The Disability have a cash-only job. One still works as a mechanic who also flips cars.

Correct. However, if the person writes it off as an expense, it can be traced back.
My dad’s company paid for a maid. They wanted to issue a 1099 but the maid was on Welfare and Medicaid so no dice.

The first thing Trump should do is cancel all the Obamaphones.

Not to mention their selling of their EBT funds schedule. I’m sure it’s hard for them to keep up with everything....food banks, EBT selling, iPhone activation and organizing, break ins....lots to ‘manage’.

I agree. I hope a lot of FreeStuff items get the kibosh, with a Trump admin.

Normally if you go into a bank with a check that is written off of that bank, they will let you cash it with no fee even if you don't have an account there. And for the ID, they usually just check that to verify your signature and to make sure that the picture on it looks like you. Also, make sure it is not expired, most banks won't accept expired ID.
