President-elect Donald Trump on Friday called for lawmakers to investigate U.S. intelligence leaks to NBC about information on Russian interference in the presidential election.
“I am asking the chairs of the House and Senate committees to investigate top secret intelligence shared with NBC prior to me seeing it,” Trump tweeted Friday.
The NBC report cited “a senior U.S. intelligence official with direct knowledge” of the intel report that was delivered to President Obama on Thursday and is scheduled to be delivered to Trump on Friday.
"Highly classified intercepts illustrate Russian government planning and direction of a multifaceted campaign by Moscow to undermine the integrity of the American political system," NBC quotes the source saying.

Those have done their homework have known what the KGB has been up to since World War II. That doesn’t mean that Trump is in Russia’s pocket, nor does it mean that Trump was elected because of the Russians, what it does mean is that we need to get a leader with backbone that will let any country know that we will not back down, we will not tolerate BS, and we will bring the hammer no matter the cost. Our greatest generation understood that. Apparently today’s cowards know no such honor.

If any news agency knowingly distributes classified material they should face the possibility that their license could be revoked. I would require that Government (non-public) communications be reported to the Government before being used and that the source be both known and authorized to release information at that level.
Anyone willing to release such information without verifying the source and classification of the information, is likely someone who is seeking a private/personal benefit for which they are willing to toss the nation under the buss to obtain.
Wikileaks?
My opinion is they are a dangerous outlet for information that is intended to embarrass and/or compromise the nation. It has benefited Republicans this time. But that was not true for Democrats and certainly not for George W Bush.

You know it came from somebody inside the White House. I would suspect Rhodes, but if it were him, he would have leaked it to his brother at CBS. At any rate, they will all be gone in less than 2 weeks.
McCain and Graham will be cutting deals for ear marks even during the confirmation hearings beginning today, but the swamp WILL be drained.
