>> Anybody that did not resign in disgust of Obama’s policies cannot be trusted with America’s interests.

If I were in a position of power (military, state department, intelligence agency) when 0vomit took office, I would have kept my job and NOT resigned. Why? Not for the money or because I have any respect for 0vomit, but in order to try to minimize the damage he would cause and to keep tabs on what was happening around me. If all the conservatives and intelligent people had resigned, it would have given the idiot and evil progressives free reign to do what they wanted. The conservatives who are in those jobs are at least a speed bump in the path of the progressives and hopefully have kept good records on who was doing what. We need those records for the many coming prosecutions.

It’s tough to tell those people from the unprincipled self-serving collaborators. Unless there is actual evidence that they tried to undermine implementation of anti-American policies, better to clean house first to be sure you don’t leave moles in place, then go back and do careful vetting before assigning them someplace else.

Remember, people are already talking about how Obama intends to run a “shadow government”. That means moles in the bureaucracy. I would not leave anybody in their existing positions at least three levels down from the top. Replace them and put the old guard out to early retirement, rubber rooms, study groups, or whatever. Leave them zero access. Promote lower level people whose evaluations are bad from the Obama crowd but were good from the Bush era. Or bring in outside people, since the Bush era had plenty of flaws.

I hope Trump revamps the compensation scheme for Federal workers and removing the upper management layers is the time to do it. Pay based on seniority and how many staff you have is no way to reduce the size and scope of government. Bonuses should be for solving problems and eliminating the staff that it took to solve it, not for growing staff to handle worsening problems. That incentivizes worsening the problem.
