Former Attorney General Eric Holder will back the California Legislature in potential legal clashes with the incoming Trump administration.
Holder, currently a partner at the law firm Covington & Burling, will serve as an adviser and outside counsel to help "resist any attempts to roll back the progress California has made" — in particular with climate change, health care, civil rights and immigration issues, legislative leaders said Wednesday.

Has California ever heard of the tenth amendment to the constitution? They already have the power to create environmental laws, for free. Paying Eric Holder is not required.
California hired Holder for a couple of reasons, he is a committed leftist, and they think he holds some political clout and they think he is a capable lawyer. But what they fail to realize is that Holder is uncapable and has only attained his advanced positions through affirmative action and outright racism. Also without obama’s presidency behind him he has almost no political muscle. California made a costly mistake.
Let me get this straight. The very same Eric Holder who sued Arizona for exercising state sovereignty is going to sue the federal government to allow California to exercise state sovereignty? The hypocrisy of marxists knows no bounds.
