With the Senate already having launched the process of repealing Obamacare when, as reported yesterday, Senate Budget Committee Chairman Mike Enzi released a 2017 budget resolution setting up the process to partially repeal Obamacare early in Donald Trumps administration, on Wednesday vice president-elect Mike Pence met with Republican congressional leaders to plot the strategy of how to repeal Obama's signature healthcare law.
Speaking to House republicans, Pence said Trump plans to take executive actions to start unwinding ObamaCare on day one: "Our first order of business will be to repeal and replace ObamaCare," Pence told reporters, adding the process would begin "day one."
"The speaker of the house used the word stable, and we will do that," Pence said at a news conference after a private meeting Wednesday with House Republicans. Theres a "broad range of idea on how to do this," he said, without giving details of what a replacement might look like.
The VP-elect added that it will be an orderly transition to something better...using executive authority to ensure its an orderly transition. Were working now on a series of executive orders that will enable that orderly transition to take place even as Congress appropriately debates alternatives to and replacements for ObamaCare.

Incoming White House press secretary Sean Spicer told reporters Tuesday that Trump considers Inauguration Day as "Day One" of his presidency: "He is prepared and ready to go. As he's said before, he wants to enact real change on day one. That will mean within hours of being sworn in," Spicer said. "He put his team on notice that he expects nothing less than everyone getting right to work for the American people."

I’m actually happy to say...
“this is news?” :)
1/20/2017 - The end of an ERRØR!
You want single payer? Because that's EXACTLY how you get single payer.
We didn't have it before Obamacare. Why would we have it after?
How many healthcare insurance companies are there on average per state? Anyone know? Eight or 10 or a little more? Trump will give the American healthcare consumer 400 to 500 or more insurance companies to buy from in a year’s time instead of 8 to 10 ... companies in a typical US state. Much healthy competition among the US health companies.
We all should know what’s going to happen to the price of insurance.
That's EXACTLY what we wish for.
What in Gods name do you wish for?
I am VERY impressed with both TRUMP and PENCE!!!!!
They’re off to a RUNNING START and Prepping before hand! SMART!!!
Yes and publicly direct DOJ to drop the heinous lawsuit against the little sisters of the poor (which Jeff Sessions will do regardless)
Unless people across the economic spectrum are held accountable for their healthcare decisions, the costs will continue to skyrocket.
For DesertRhino, are you sure the law allows Presidential exemptions, or, since Obama has illegally amended so many laws so many times, do you just assume such a provision exists?
Any law, authored and passed by DemoRats and/or Gopee, is a TRICK, not a law, designed to immunize the elite and make ordinary Americans criminals.
Reference Ayn Rand for the real purpose of "Law", and read my tagline.
Of course President Trump can do or undo anything the National Negro did, IT'S THE LAW!, and it's precedent.
If you understood the system - how it works, how it’s regulated, etc., you would know that simply repealing obunghole care - especially in an overnight fashion, will push us right into single payer. Right now, every single plan out there is setup for obungholecare. Repeal it before giving the carriers time to rework their plans, get them approved, etc., and the carriers will be bankrupt inside 3-6 months. Hello single payer. Before you advocate any given solution to this debacle, be sure you know how the system works.
Repeal. Period. End of story. That's what I wish for.
Fortunately, President Trump has a long list of appropriate waivers from Obamacare requirements: the ones that Obama already approved for those with insider connections or large donations to the DNC. President Trump should grant the same waivers to all American citizens and to all American companies, so we can be equal under the law. President Trump should specifically cite the precedent for each waiver, just to rub liberal noses in their own corruption.
Trump is the only politician that is keeping his promises he made during the campaign.
I don’t recall any other politicians keeping their promises or even doing much of anything really. And if there is an odd exception that is the exception not the rule when it comes to to ALL corrupt politicians
For example what did ole W Bush promise us? And then he turns around and tries to shove amnesty for illegals down our throats . is that what he thought we wanted? give me a break.
God Bless Trump and the USA!
Is this really happening ? Am I in a wonderful dream? Omg Thank God for Mr. Trump! MAGA!
Repeal the illicit statute
Executive orders do not repeal statute
There is no reason ACA repeal can not immediately occur. The current enrollment period ends Jan 31, 2017. The next enrollment period is scheduled to begin Nov 1, 2017 and end Jan 31, 2018. Cancel it. There will be no further enrollment periods after Jan 31, 2017, current enrollments expire on their anniversary date. Bam. Done.
RINO
Slow down there, turbo. You have NO CLUE what you're talking about.
“Can’t” is for losers.
